San Antonio’s Goodwill Store and Donation Station is a staple among locals who love thrift shopping. As part of the nationwide Goodwill chain, this store is known for its commitment to supporting community programs through its sales. This means that when you shop here, you’re doing more than just scoring secondhand deals—you’re also helping fund job training and other local initiatives.
At this Goodwill location, you’ll find a broad selection that goes beyond just used clothing. It’s common to spot vintage pieces mixed in with more contemporary stuff. They stock everything from casual wear and work attire to children’s clothes, so the clothing racks are always worth a browse. Beyond apparel, the store carries furniture that ranges from small side tables to larger pieces, plus housewares like dishes, kitchen gadgets, and décor items. Book lovers will appreciate the shelves filled with novels, cookbooks, and sometimes even collectible editions.
What’s great about this San Antonio thrift store is how the inventory changes regularly. Some days you might walk in and find a classic leather jacket, and other days a retro lamp or a stack of vinyl records might catch your eye. Shopping here can be a bit like a treasure hunt, but in a very friendly, local way. Plus, the donation station right on site makes it easy for people to bring in items they no longer need, keeping the stock fresh and helping the community at the same time.

Been a while since I visited this location. They have upgraded and moved the registers freeing up a lot of space. The old Supersalad was converted to a sort of jewelery and accesories mini store called Goodwill Accents. So you can go there afger the main store if you so desire. All the staff seem friendly and helpful. They have a plug bar to test electronics in the back left. You can find all sorts of stuff. Good for finding items to use for costumes and crafts.
Felicia was our cashier, great customer service! Speedy and made us feel welcome. Smelled clean as soon as you enter the store. We always find a bargain when shopping at this location. Will definitely return !
Stopped by with my fingers crossed to find a shawl and a men's blazer (wanted an oversized fit). Thifting is always an unexpected adventure but luck was on my side today as I found BOTH of the items I was looking for. First, I popped into the Accents Boutique which was clean and had an easy-to-navigate layout. Then, I walked over to the main store which, all though full of merchandise, was also clean and allowed for a calm, enjoyable shopping experience - the great music playing also helped create a welcome environment. My experience became immediately a four-star rating based on my interaction with Julienne who was my cashier in the main store. She was upbeat, friendly, and conversational with each guest in front of me while keeping the line moving at a great pace. When checking me out, she maintained that same energy and was overall one of the best cashiers I have interacted with in quite sometime.
The prices here are CRAZY like I’m in a REAL ANTIQUE store or something they price the items on the shelf so HIGH no wonder why they send everything to the clearance center INSTEAD of asking outrageous prices just price them cheap n clear the shelves!!! Also guard arguing with customers and the manager n manger being aggressive to the guard/security not coming back
What is going with Goodwill's prices?? Noticed the Sonic/Nintendo big lot was 450 WHOS PAYING THAT!!!. Anyway it was tag color ripped off but still read green. Which this week it was so it should be half off. Mind you for what's there it's not bad but you still got to pay taxes on it. I asked cashier what happens to the stuff if it doesn't sell it read 12/03/24 so it's been there 17 days. She mentioned it went to the back and is thrown or transferred to another store. Well that doesn't make any sense someone made the price surely you can make some other price to sell it to make your store money yet they chose to lose out on that option because it's not their price. This organization is making less and less sense.
