Los Angeles has no shortage of thrift stores, but the Goodwill Southern California Store stands out as a reliable spot for anyone diving into secondhand shopping. This Los Angeles thrift store is part of the well-known Goodwill chain, which is recognized nationwide for supporting community programs through its sales. Shoppers here can expect a steady stream of donated items, ranging from used clothing to furniture and household goods.
One of the best things about this Goodwill location is the variety. It’s not just about clothing—though you’ll find plenty of vintage tees, jeans, and dresses if that’s your focus. The store also stocks housewares, books, and furniture, which makes it ideal for anyone putting together a furnished apartment on a budget. For those who enjoy the thrill of thrift shopping, the rotating inventory means every visit can bring something new, from retro kitchen gadgets to quirky décor pieces.
While Goodwill Southern California Store carries plenty of everyday items, its connection to the broader Goodwill network means the store sources donations from all over the city, giving it a distinctly Los Angeles flavor. You’ll find pieces that reflect the city’s diverse style, from laid-back casual wear to more polished vintage finds. If you’re serious about Los Angeles thrift shopping, this store is worth checking out regularly—you never know when the next great find will hit the racks.

Long-standing nonprofit chain with a range of pre-owned clothing, housewares & more.
My absolute favorite location. The selections are fabulous and the employees are kind and helpful!
Received excellent help from several staff members. Not so great for home goods, better for clothes. But I was able to get an old monitor (without HDI) and some wine glasses on 25% because I was looking for the weekly color
This place eather needs more employees or more attentive employees. The issue is how messy it is. It's understandable that customers leave stuff all around, but this looks like it's been a while. Dirty and unchecked. I still will never understand when "you" get inventory for free, how is it really never presentable?
Don't go here. Their prices are super high. Bad quality used clothing on the racks. Someone needs to remind them that it's a thrift store. It used to be reasonable. When prices are the same or more for used clothing that I've seen at Ross NEW that's ridiculous.
THEIR PRICES ARE INSANE FOR SECOND HAND CLOTHING THEY GET DONATED FOR FREE! It’s truly a shame they price brands like Zara and fashion nova as if it was some crazy name brand. It didn’t used to be like this but in the past 6-8. How are people going to be encouraged to shop second hand when you guys price this high? Would recommend going to out of the closet instead y’all. They have much better pricing.
