About This Store

Goodwill Stores Tucson: A Go-To for Thrift Shopping

If you’ve spent any time in Tucson and enjoy thrift shopping, you probably know Goodwill Donation Center. This Goodwill Stores Tucson location carries the well-known reputation of the national Goodwill chain, which is all about turning donations into affordable goods that keep items out of the landfill. It’s a staple in the local thrift store scene with a steady rotation of used clothing, furniture, and home goods that attract repeat shoppers.

You can expect to find a wide mix here. From gently used clothing — including some vintage pieces if you look carefully — to a variety of housewares like kitchen gadgets and décor. The furniture section often has solid pieces at prices that beat buying new or even some local secondhand shops. For book lovers, there’s usually a good selection of paperbacks and hardcovers, often including some unexpected finds. The inventory changes regularly, which makes multiple trips worthwhile.

Goodwill Stores Tucson is perfect if you want to do more than just browse clothes. It’s a practical spot for outfitting a new apartment without breaking the bank or hunting for craft supplies. While it doesn’t specialize in vintage, you’ll occasionally spot something with a bit of retro flair. Plus, shopping here supports Goodwill’s community programs, which adds an extra layer of feel-good to the experience. It’s the kind of place where you can spend an hour exploring and leave with a bag of useful stuff and maybe a few surprises.

Fast and easy. We backed into a parking space and the worker already had a cart outside waiting. We put our 6 bags of clothing into the cart, got a receipt, and drove away. It took maybe 5 minutes.

We've been moving, so therefore donating a lot this past year. Overall experience has been incredibly positive, although my husband apparently encountered the infamous "blonde haired woman" on one trip. Super rude....encountered her last week and she was nice(really), welcoming and professional. Pretty sure it was the same woman. So....y'all get 5 stars, you are an incredible group of people.....and as for the infamous Blonde haired woman", I hope things are better for you now. Seem to be. Again, awesome group of people overall.

Has the rudest people working. One of the young women with all the face piercing. If you don’t like your job go somewhere else. Don’t be rude to people. I wasn’t rude to you.

The attendant was rude, and unprofessional! We were shocked at her behavior. She was throwing the items around. I could literally hear glass breaking. This is a serious training issue. She asked how much more do you have. I gave her one more item and dropped the rest off at the Oro Valley location. They welcomed us, and thanked us for our quality donation.

I am moving so rather than selling items I brought to the Frys Market Place located on Tangerine. I have always had good experience here until recently. There is a younger man working that is no help and very unpleasant. I started to sit bag down and right away he said don't sit it down because I will have to bend over to pick it up. I unloaded my own vehicle. Today my daughter went there and same man working. His response was I guess I'm never going to get to go to lunch. My daughter apologized and said I can help. His response was are you coming back again because I don't have room for all this. She told him she would be back again but not today. She called me talking about how rude he was and I told her I had the same experience. I believe if you can't bend over to pick items up then you are doing the wrong job. Let someone work that wants and needs to.
