If you’re in Phoenix and want to dive into thrift shopping, Goodwill – Retail Store and Donation Center is a solid spot to check out. This isn’t just any thrift store—it’s part of the Goodwill chain, which is pretty well-known for supporting community programs and offering a wide range of secondhand goods. You’ll find plenty of used clothing, from casual wear to some vintage pieces that pop up now and then. It’s the kind of place where you can browse racks of shirts, jackets, and dresses, all gently used.
But Goodwill in Phoenix isn’t just about clothes. The furniture section tends to have some good finds if you’re furnishing a place on a budget or just want a unique piece with some character. You’ll also come across housewares like kitchen gadgets, glassware, and small appliances. For book lovers and collectors, the shelves usually have a rotating selection, sometimes including vintage or out-of-print books. It’s a mix that keeps the experience interesting every time you visit.
Shopping here feels easy and down-to-earth. The store is organized enough that you can find what you’re after without digging through piles, but there’s also that thrill of spotting an unexpected gem. Because it’s a Phoenix thrift store tied to Goodwill, you’re also supporting local job training and community services with every purchase. That makes the hunt for used goods a little more rewarding beyond just the savings and sustainability. If thrift shopping is your thing, this Goodwill location is definitely worth a stop.

TONS of great items all the time! Super organized and clean! I found a sewing machine that still works and they always have great furniture. The clothing section has many in style, name brand items. The shoes are in excellent condition. If you need a Halloween outfit or costume, check here first. They have so much! Same goes for decor
I'm amazed by the prices Goodwill charges for clothes. I needed some shirts, though, so I ended up paying $4.49 ($5.99 - 25% senior discount) for a shirt I really like that actually fits me. It cost less than retail, so that's a plus, and the shirt isn't in the landfill, which is an even bigger plus. Women's XXL shirts did not have their own section here but were scattered in among the XL shirts. I spent a lot of time sorting through everything and finding shirts that would potentially fit. Otherwise, this store was fine, much like every other Goodwill in the Valley.
I don’t expect exemplary service from a thrift store, let alone a chain, but not ONE employee said a single word to me. Nor did any assist me with my items. I bought four dining chairs (fairly priced imo) and no employee offered to help carry any or all of them. I wasn’t even asked if I wanted the help. I will say, store was clean (minus the bathroom which is locked and hasn’t been cleaned in actual years it would appear) and the over all selection was nice.
lol 🤣 😂 someone is in the back overpricing items that they have no knowledge on! Nope 👎 walked right back out… you should do the same. Been thrift storing for 35 years… don’t do it! Go ahead look at the 42 pricing reviews and HAVE A GOOD DAY! PS… I would flag this store in your Google app…. So you can actually get quality used products and not waste gas. ⛽️
Goodwill, where I expected to find treasures, not a lesson in overpricing. For a place meant to give back, I felt robbed. A Northface shirt, yes, but with a graphic so worn, it seemed to have lived several lives. Twenty dollars for this? It wasn't just the price that stung, but the principle. I came hoping to support a cause, only to leave feeling deceived. The shirt's faded glory might tell tales, but at this cost, it's not a story I wanted to buy into. Doubt I'll be back, not for lack of belief in second-hand, but because the goodwill seems to have gone missing.
