I always like browsing a goodwill store. Quality clothing, kids toys, electronics and all sorts of book and records and cds. Right now is a great time to locate a Halloween outfit for yourself or you kids of grandkids. Always able to find something I might want if not really need. Fun place to shop. Helps employ and enable individuals with various developmental needs as well as a bonus. Give goodwill a try. Friendly staff and very reasonable prices.
My recent visit to this thrift store exceeded my expectations, all thanks to Maddie, who was an outstanding cashier. After a disappointing experience here the first time. I said I would never come back. Especially after I received minimal assistance, I wasn't expecting much here. The first time I was checking out after buying a chair I fell in love with, which I had to clean myself by the way, the cashier should learn to do her job better. I don't know who she was some young girl with dark shoulder length hair who could care less about her customers. I had customer next to me offer to let me use one of her coupons and the cashier rang me up faster so she didn't have to use it. Rude. Then to top it off I had to load that big chair into my truck myself while they watched. Good times. Thanks for that experience kids. So I swore I would never come back here. I was disgusted, I was disappointed and I was tempted to just throw that chair back into the store and demand my money back. It's the type of chair that I had been looking all over for to go with my new couch so I bit my tongue. Needless to say I started shopping at a different location. Well, one day I needed something simple and since it was the closest one I decided to just run in and out really quick. However, Maddie's warmth and helpfulness were a pleasant surprise. She greeted me with a smile, answered all my questions patiently, and went above and beyond to ensure I found what I needed. Maddie's exceptional service not only made my shopping experience enjoyable but also restored my confidence in this store, a little. It's rare to find such dedicated employees who genuinely care about customer satisfaction. Thank you, Maddie, for your kindness and attentive service! You are the ONLY reason I would shop at that store again. I hope your managers take note of this and teach the other ones to kick up their game.
This is probably the worst goodwill around. It’s not the most organized, at least when I went in. The associate working go backs today was absolutely rude. She was pushing past people and pushing the racks very aggressively. I didn’t hear her say excuse me if she had even said it at all before she rudely seemed to repeat herself and pushed behind me while I was browsing. Not to mention the dirty looks she was glaring my way after she went back to her racks. Wasn’t even trying to hide it. If you don’t like your job then get a new one. One thing I also dislike is you cannot tell the associates from the customers half of the time. No name tags, no lanyards, just attitude while putting stuff away. I put my stuff back on the rack and drove to a new goodwill. Disappointed in the customer service.
Check out line was a mile long with one employee calling for a manager (waited about 10 minutes manager was no where to be found). Finally sent the lady trying to return out of line, proceeds to tell me it’s not student discount day (on Sunday, with the student discount sign right at the front of the store).
I was in the store a Signal Butte/ Guadulupe w/my son & his wife today 12/24/2025. The manager Tracey walked up to my son & accused him of stealing the shoes he walked in wearing. She got an old worn out pair & asked him if they were his.... HOW FREAKIN INSULTING!!! You NEVER accuse anyone of stealing unless you see them doing it! You should be fired for treating customers like that !
