Once in while I find something a vintage Pyrex with the vine sleeve, a Sur Le Table hand painted italian serving platter...both great for Thanksgiving. ,)
I ripped my jeans at work. So, I ran to the closet GW. Maybe it me but 25.99 for used jeans with sign of heavy wearing stains is crazy. Cashier was nice and the store was clean. Just the prices were 👎
Store was pretty clean. I waited 5 minutes to donate a bunch of stuff. No one came out. So I just took the bins that were outside and did it all myself. Bad service. Inside it seems Arizona Goodwill, unlike those in other states on the west coast, including Alaska. Does not sort items by full size. Xl, XXL, xxxl, etc ate all slumped together. Makes it very hard to find the right size. Take the extra time, because it will only be a minute or 2, to atleast sort XXL and above into its own area, like all other stores do it. Much better for the customers and you will sell more. Same for jeans, since it went to 40, and everything starting at 40 and above are all lumped together. Majority of books are priced higher than all other thrift shops, since most fo .99 to 1.49 for soft cover.
Prices are really hit or miss here. Some things are WAY overpriced when they have stains and holes. But the main reason I give this spot 3 stars is because of the older white-haired man cashier at the front. I live close by and so I am here relatively often. But every time he is here, he hounds people on the checkout to make a donation (including me). It’ll be a gentle “no thank you” from the customer and sometimes he’ll continue to ask twice sometimes THREE times and then make a sound or laugh when you don’t donate. I know I often donate bags of items here (which they get for free and mark up but that’s a different story). However, it’s quite frustrating to be hounded again at checkout after you have already said no once. Today tipped me over the edge when I heard him laugh off some timid woman for saying no twice to his donation ask. Some people can’t afford it. Ask once and leave it at that please.
They really need to clean up their customer service skills towards customers when items they are selling are slightly broken and they are selling g them at high prices; Instead of saying “well you can put it in the return basket” maybe offer a discount! Your prices are high for used items and you can find such items band new at Walmart for a few bucks more! Be kind to your customers.
