Long-standing nonprofit chain with a range of pre-owned clothing, housewares & more.
It's the best goodwill in the area. This is counting the 3 in Lynchburg, one in Bedford and the one in Madison. The staff is really kind and helpful, and the place is cleaner.
Always find great deals here. Clean. Friendly staff. I like the new sign up you can do where you get a point for every dollar you spend. I went to the "new" big Goodwill this week for the first time. It was overwhelming. There is lots and lots there. I heard one customer say she had been in there for hours. LOL. My favorite one is on Timberlake. I never fail to find what I am looking for and the staff is friendly.
I visit several Goodwill stores regularly and this is my favorite. The staff is very friendly. They inform customers about special deals such as sales tax holidays. It's perhaps the only Goodwill store still offering $1 clothes& accessories on Sundays if the tag is the previous week's color.
Staff is wonderful here. But somebody needs to move the dress racks to where they are easily accessible. My arms hurt so bad from the constant reaching up. It's ridiculous! Older women really struggle. Please change this.
Goodwill is getting worse. They have less quality inventory (keeping all of the "good" items to sell online, especially their books) which makes finding deals very challenging. They keep raising prices (This location had $2.99 on a Matchbox car, which I can get brand new for $1.25!). I would donate to and go to other local options.
