The staff are genuinely friendly and knowledgeable, often ready to chat about the stories behind some of their vintage pieces.
If you’re into thrift shopping, this place delivers. You’ll find a broad mix of used clothing, from casual everyday wear to some interesting vintage garments that catch your eye. But it’s not just clothes here. The shop also stocks furniture, housewares, and an eclectic selection of books. The variety makes it a fun spot to browse slowly—each visit can uncover something different. The furniture tends to be a nice mix of practical pieces and those with more character, perfect for anyone looking to give their home a unique touch without paying retail prices.
The local character of Pick of the Litter really shines through in how the items are displayed and the range they carry. There’s a sense that the owners care about what comes in and what leaves the store. Don't remember the name of the employee (sorry!!) but she'd remember me. I literally dropped a lava lamp while waiting to check out the other day and it was so embarrassing. She was SUPER sweet to me about it though and it was amazing customer service. The store is always clean and freshly restocked, but I would definitely come back from that interaction alone.
They're in a new building and everything is well organized, we found things we were looking for and then some. Not as cozy as the old place were you could find treasures in wee corners, but very ample for the great donations they've received for re-purpose by customers. Lots of helpful volunteers and fans shopping for a good deal.
I used to go to their old location on Piner Road in Santa Rosa. Now, they have moved to a larger location, with room to grow. I like to shop here because it supports Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County. It’s a good cause. The workers were friendly and helpful, the space was large with lots to look at. I’m definitely coming back when I have more time. You never know what you’re gonna find here! Good price range and selection of stuff.
Lots of hidden gems if you have time to search! Found a new insulated hydroflask cup for $1.50! Friendly staff.
Well, this used to be my all time favorite thrift store, and I always found such cute gift items for my cat lover friends, including earrings, dishes, and books. Now they have relocated to a jumbo store, and are still getting items set up so look a bit sterile and bare bones for my taste. They had a lot of Christmas items for sale, so if you are looking for good deals to get for next year, you may feel happy. I just missed the smaller, quaint building with amazing clothing and shoes, and jewelry right as you entered. So, bottom line is, the juries still out. 🤔 stop in and take a gander...it's worth a try...but...but...I'm gonna go elsewhere to find that boutique-like thrift store of my dreams as it's just not here 😔
