Last week I was shopping at the Goodwill Store on Watt Avenue and a homeless woman and two males approached me while loading my purchases into my vehicle. The woman asked why I was taking her purchases. I ran up to the door and asked the manager to watch me get into my car. I have called the corporate office several times and have not heard from the management. I was frightened that a customer wouldn’t receive a call back from the corporate office.
Please tell me why a broken toy @ goodwill in Sacramento is selling for 2.99? This is unbelievable. Please stop with the outstanding prices. This is GREED. PURE GREED. I'm boycotting goodwill until I see some changes. I'm also informing the public about the company's greed. What would Jesus say regarding the company's ridiculous prices? Please Give the underpaid employees a well deserved raise. Do better goodwill!
On 1/28 I made purchases at the placerville store while visiting relatives in the area. While unpacking my purchases a day later I noticed I was charged $104.55 for a 4.99 item. I contacted the store and spoke to the manager judy. She agreed that the amount sound suspect. I offered to drive the purchases the 2.5 hours back to the store for review. She stated it wasn’t necessary as she would review the video and receipt and get back to me the following day. Judy contacted me and informed me she was instructed to forward the information to corporate for investigation and I would be hearing from them for possible questions and how my bank card would be reimbursed. I have heard nothing from corporate nor can I get through by phone. I have spoke to Judy twice and she has emailed corporate without response. I am concerned the longer this goes on slimmer the chances for a positive resolution.
I went to the Rancho Cordova store today, July 22 at 2:50 in the afternoon to drop off four bags of clothes, (shirts, Jeans, sweaters, sweatshirts,) some are Brad new with tags. The gentleman saw me pull up and the doors were open and he told me that he was closed. I told him that it was only 2:50 and he said he closed at three o'clock. He then closed the doors and yelled" see you tomorrow". Does not seem that is good business practice. I think you should hire someone that knows how to read a watch. I will be taking the items to a different location that appreciates nice donations,(ie) a different company. From now on if you are my only choice I would rather throw the items in the trash rather than donate to you. If I had known you don't need donations I would not have wasted my time. Never again.
Me and my husband went in the goodwill on florin to purchase a pillow top mattress. Your manager informed us that the price on the wall and that an associate quoted us was incorrect. The sign as well as the associate stated pillow top mates 120 but when we took for pickup mamanger said another 75 was needed so when we asked due to theor mistake and their wrong price on the sign why not honor it he stated it's just not what you do. Please let me know if this is standard policy. Thank you. He rather lose the 140 sale and gain nothing. Businesses should have accurate prices and honor mistakes made by them or associates we even stated what we wanted to the checkout guy and he chated us according to their price book. Please contact me in regards to my disatisfaction.
