Love this huge store! Found a few gems on our first visit! Friendly staff. Highly recommend!
This Goodwill seems to be more organized and clean than most. It's a pretty big store with the majority being clothes. There are plenty of friendly staff that help you out. They keep the place stocked well items picked up off the floor. As with any Goodwill items vary as they are donated. There is handicapped parking and entrance. There is a lower level that has a huge ramp leading down. Sadly the bathrooms are gender neutral.
When it was "Thrift Town" it was better. Thrift Town was more careful with remote controllers and power supplies. If you want a remote controlled toy or the remote for a DVD player, you are out of luck. And, of course, you really need the remote for both of those items. The DVD/CD selection is good and the electronics can be pretty amazing, but no remotes nor usually a power supply. They do have a lot of clothes. Their prices are a bit high, but as far as I know, you can return anything as long as it has only been a couple of days and you have the receipt. This is a good thing.
I went to the location on Stockton blvd and Lawrence today in Sacramento CA. I walked in at 8:45pm closing time was at 9pm. I walked in and the lady yelled we close in 5 min. I said ok... Trying to rush even though they technically don't close till 9pm. I was looking for something specific so time wasnt needed. I walked down the little ramp and she turned out the lights in the back. It wasn't the girl at register. So I asked for the managers name and left by 850pm I didn't get to look for my item she shut off the lights it was rude and disrespectful. Managers name is Felicia!
This store has workers that like to pick and choose the price/and discounts on there mood and who they like. These diapers are labeled 4.99 even though they are damaged and both have 17 out of 20 diapers. I asked can I get a mark down because there damaged and missing diapers. The lady said I have to ask. She sent them to a manager in the back and came back saying sorry but no, I won't mark down and there are non missing and telling me they charge 4.99 on all of these damage or not. This is ridiculous because just yesterday I bought 2 packs of 25 bed pads, with one marked down for being damaged. the same cashier charged me 3.99 for the second undamaged 25 pack of bed pads, I told him how on shelf there or packs of 10 bed pads undamaged for 4.99 even more then the 25 pack. I am loosing faith for this place because I watch my girlfriend on the regular buy clothes and wallets and find a smudge, or a tear, or maybe it was washed so much and give a discount every time...but yet an elderly disabled woman who needs these supplies to enjoy life in any kind of matter don't get the same respect. They allow discounts for useless reasons like a smudge but say screw you to the elderly and disabled.
