This is my favorite Goodwill for consumer electronics, I am writing this review on a phone I got there that was a great deal. The employees are friendly. Their bosses must be really cool because I know some of them have been working here a long time.
Absolutely great experience. My mom and I know zero about computers so when our hard drive crashed I didn't know what to do, I called a few places that wanted the price of just about a new one and labor to help us, so I decided to call the Goodwill Computer Store, and so happy I did. Tyler helped me through the whole thing, even explaining how to function with the new system that we needed to get. I was so pleased to know that you don't need to go to a Big Box store to be able to restore a pretty old computer. Thank You to Tyler and all the other employees that helped me .
Edited 4/27/25 best used electronic selection in town. Everything is tested, and they stand by it with a 48bhr return policy. Always good stuff to look at here. The best place to get used electronics by far.
I've always been weary of making "bigger" or electronic purchases through secondhand places. But the gentlemen that work in the electronics dept are so very kind, helpful, and honest too! I made the jump and got an HP laptop that has Linux Mint software installed on it. This was actually a laptop size and model I once really wanted, but at the time couldn't afford when it was "new". Having used Windows/Norton software all of my life (literally Lol) I wasn't sure what to expect with this difference. A tech came out, Tyler I believe was his name, and took the time to explain to me differences, perks, and overall expectations of the software and laptop. Honestly I'm absolutely in love with this laptop..AND the software!!! So far everything is functioning great, along with the charging and battery life holding up well. I can't express enough how beneficial this has been for me, both in finances and health, honestly! The display screen is shiny, clear and clean, it's going to help significantly with my eye strain in the long run. So, being self-employed/an independent contractor, ease of use and saving my eyes as much strain is absolutely a plus! Along with this software comes a BUNCH of System and Browser customizing I thought wasn't possible on a "goodwill laptop". I feel very confident that if an issue does come up, these will be the guys to go to for help. Thank you all very, VERY much!
Great selection, but crazy prices... Unless... Coupons and sales are the only thing saving this from a ★★ rating. Hope you brought some donations because they can save you quite a bit more than a nickel. If you want a good deal, you had better be outside the door at the crack of dawn on Sunday to get in before everyone else. They take tap-to-pay now, which is good, but you still have to buy everything at the same registers as the rest of the store, so expect a wait in line to buy your stuff, especially on Sunday/Monday. ★★★★
