I was fortunate to find this gem, since it is located near our hotel. Amazing clothes at fantastic prices for a great cause. If I lived here, I would be a regular customer. If you are in Coconut Grove, this is a must! Also, the lovely ladies that work there are extremely friendly and welcoming.
Years ago I was coaching a basketball team at the Coral Gables youth center and a mother of one of my players would gift me really good shirts and jackets. One day she asked me would I like to know where I get the nice clothes and she took me here. Great place and very friendly staff. I plan on shopping here often.
My "go-to" store in Coconut Grove. I love this shop. Before I go to a "real" store I stop by here. If they happen to have what I was looking for I saved a lot of money and contributed to many worthy causes. This store supports a number of well-run, reputable charities. Most of the staff are volunteers, lovely, usually older folks, who do their best to be helpful. It's a small shop and only allows a certain number of shoppers at a time, all required to sanitize their hands and wear masks. The only negative is that it is often hard to find parking near their store. I would say it's a don't miss place if you're in the Center Grove and a great place to donate quality items you no longer need.
First time coming in today. I love thrifting and supporting a good cause. However I was not greeted (which is fine I really don't care about that) as soon as I picked up an item one of the ladies working instantly turned around and starting whispering to the other volunteer clearly speaking about me. You can't greet me but you can whisper about me? I could hear the fist few words then she lowered her voice as I clearly caught her. They proceeded to not say anything to me the whole time I was in the store. On my way out I decided to take it upon myself to ask them about the store and the story behind it. It's a shame to have such rude people working in a store that is supposed to be for a good cause. Edit: as I read other low reviews I'm noticing a common factor. I myself am a woman of tan complexion with piercings and tattoos. Profiling and racism is very sad thing to experience and an even sadder thing to perpetuate.
I have been shopping & supporting this store since it opened. I've spend a lot of money there well knowing its going to a great cause~ because my Mother died of Colon Cancer & i understand what that disease is... HOWEVER, The Manager there is not so kind nor understanding. Today, while there, I was in serious need to use the restroom and she denied me that. She was so rude & cold. I was shocked at her attitude towards not allowing me to use the ladies room. I have to say... in all honesty, this is WRONG and very uncaring of the long time customers there... not to mention unprofessional. I will always continue to visit this store because i love it there... but MAKE SURE YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE THE LADIES ROOM... BC YOU "WILL" BE DENIED by THAT WOMAN. VERY TURNED OFF CUSTOMER. M.G.
