If you’re into thrift shopping in San Francisco, the Goodwill Store here is a spot worth checking out. San Francisco Goodwill Stores are part of a nationwide chain known for their commitment to community support and job training programs, so your purchases here contribute to something meaningful beyond the sale. But beyond that, the store itself is a classic thrift store experience with a solid selection of used clothing, furniture, housewares, and books, all in one place.
Walking through this San Francisco Goodwill Store, you’ll find racks of clothing that range from everyday casual wear to vintage pieces that speak to different eras. The variety is broad—anything from everyday basics to more unique, retro styles that can add character to your wardrobe. It’s one of those places where you can spend some time sifting through and come up with a few unexpected finds. Furniture and home goods are also a big part of their stock. Old chairs, tables, lamps, and kitchen items frequently rotate through, so it’s a good spot to watch if you’re on the hunt for something functional or just want to experiment with secondhand décor.
San Francisco Goodwill Stores also tend to have a decent selection of books and media, which is always a nice bonus if you like browsing for reading material while you thrift. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff usually know their stock well enough to point you in a good direction if you ask. While this location sticks to what you might expect from a Goodwill—quality used goods at reasonable prices—it’s the mix of merchandise and the chance to support local social programs that make it stand out in the San Francisco thrift shopping scene. If you’re serious about secondhand, this Goodwill is a solid stop to add to your list.

Long-standing nonprofit chain with a range of pre-owned clothing, housewares & more.
Go Goodwill! I went there to drop off a tower PC computer workstation - the place was busy, but seconds after I lugged it up their entry stairs (parking in the convenient open space in front of the Goodwill delivery roll-up door that serves as a de facto stopping spot), an energetic store employee took half the assembly out of my hand, she led me to a put down place four steps away, quickly asked the obligatory question (no receipt) and I was on my way out to the car in 30 seconds. Great vibe, great service (Salvation Army referred me there saying their store didn't have the staff to handle even small furniture donations). Good Goodwill!
They are changing things around. Pretty cool. Remember Tuesday is senior discount day. I think 25% off.
horrible Horrible service from the staff. The manager and another man spend their time chatting while Seven is taking out the things they bring to sell.
This used to be my favorite thrift store in the city - clean, well organized and with reasonable prices. I don't know why the new merger has resulted in the worst redesign of the space possible with these wire racks with zero organization. The place looks like a dump now with items strewn about the floor. Time to rethink your merchandising strategy Goodwill.
Corporate is running these stores into the ground. Selection is terrible these days, overpriced, dirty or damaged items, not much to look at. Not opening dressing rooms after the pandemic is a total scam so they don't have to properly staff stores. I used to thrift here all the time, don't bother with this store anymore
