If you’ve done any thrift shopping in San Francisco, you know the variety can be wild, but at Goodwill Donation Center, it’s organized enough that digging through racks feels productive rather than overwhelming. The clothing selection runs the gamut—casual tees, jackets, sweaters, and sometimes those unexpected vintage gems that pop up and make the trip worth it. Beyond apparel, the store typically carries housewares, books, and occasionally furniture. It’s a good option for secondhand furniture if you’re furnishing a place on the cheap or just looking for that quirky accent piece.
The appeal of a Goodwill store lies largely in its consistent turnover and the variety of donations it receives daily. Some days, you might find classic vinyl records, other days, kitchenware with just the right retro vibe. For those who enjoy the thrill of thrift shopping in San Francisco, this Goodwill Donation Center offers a dependable spot to explore secondhand goods without the chaos you might find at smaller, less structured thrift shops. It’s a solid choice if you want to combine sustainable shopping with a chance to support local programs in the city.

My to go place for getting rid of clothes and home stuff we don’t use anymore. Easy to drop (drive-in) and friendly staff that helps to spot a right box
I always choose this drop off site and Goodwill in general. The employees are always helpful and cheerful and it's convenient especially if I have something heavy. I know the organization does good work so it's a win win. Thankyou for your important work
oodwill Drop Off center in Potrero hill is great. The site is very well organized allowing for easy drop off into well-labeled boxes and quick drive through the site. The on-site staff is always friendly and helpful. While you should plan to drop your items into boxes yourself (for a safe COVID protocol), they friendly staffers will assist unloading your car if they are available.
I was very happy with the service I received at this particular store being that I am disabled and barely able to walk. I was pleased to see the sales clerk assist me in getting my donations out of my car and transporting them into their building.
dont buy anything from goodwill's auction site if it comes from Goodwill Industries of San Francisco. they arent honest about the sizing of the items they list on there and refuse to even answer messages about a refund. i had to contact paypal to get my money back when they sent me what was supposed to me a mens jacket that was clearly to anyone with eyes a youth or womens size.
