I was just a tourist visiting and stumbled across the store while it was having its moving sale. Everyone was friendly and helpful, even the other customers. It was very busy. I had a great time and racked up some wonderful bargains. Some of the Goodwill stores in Florida don't allow you to even try on clothes anymore. So people at this store are lucky!
This might be the most expensive and overpriced Goodwill that I’ve ever walked into Now that I got that out, let me tell you little bit about it. It’s a super small Goodwill and it’s located in downtown La Jolla. There’s not a ton of clothes, but there were a lot of people for how small the location is. I was kind of surprised about that. I couldn’t find anything that was my size that I wanted, but I didn’t find two Patagonia items that I thought were extremely overpriced for a Goodwill. One was a men’s shirt that they were asking 2999 for and another was a girls pullover fleece that they were asking $39 for I just can’t believe that someone donated those and they’re charging that price on those items
Was very excited to visit this new location. The store did not meet my expectations, especially based on the hype. I shop at several Goodwill stores around town routinely. While the first floor is spacy and had some good items, the second floor is chaotic, crowded, and did not have many bargains. The line to try out clothing was very long. I walked out with no purchases, which was disappointing since I don't live nearby. All in all, it is not worth the drive. I can find better bargains in other Goodwill stores near my home.
I saw a few clothes I liked in this store and went to the fitting room. Unfortunately, I left my small black handbag in the fitting room. It contained -$2600 in cash. Checking the security footage, a female employee went into the room to clean it, and a female customer followed closely behind, also preparing to try on clothes. I want to ask everyone, who took my money? When I went to the checkout with the two items, I realized I had forgotten the money within five minutes. When I went back to look for it, it was gone. I asked the sales clerk, and she seemed very nervous. She was the first to clean the room. I'm very confused about where the money went. It's a heartbreaking place. I will never go there again.
Most overpriced goodwill I’ve ever been to in any state or area. Very small selection, boutique style. Was interested in this lululemon item in a case until I saw it was priced at $35. Retail price for this item is $38. This might qualify as my first post for the Greedwill FB page haha. This store is not at all worth a trip in my opinion.
