About This Store

San Diego thrift store for all kinds of secondhand finds

Goodwill Retail Store and Donation Center in San Diego is one of those spots that’s hard to ignore if you care about thrift shopping. As part of the well-known Goodwill chain, it carries the reputation for quality used clothing and household goods that help support local community programs. This particular location reflects that on a pretty large scale, with racks of clothing ranging from casual basics to some vintage pieces, plus furniture, books, and housewares.

When you step inside, you’ll notice how much variety there is — from everyday wear to oddly specific items like retro home décor or kitchen gadgets. The furniture section often has some sturdy, solid wood pieces that can work great for anyone furnishing a place on a budget. And the bookshelves are stocked with everything from paperbacks to some charming old hardcovers. It’s definitely a spot where a patient shopper can walk away with more than just clothes.

What’s neat about this San Diego thrift store is that it’s also a donation center, which keeps the inventory cycling fresh. That means people drop off all sorts of stuff, and you never quite know what you’ll find on any given day. It’s a good reminder that thrift shopping is a bit of an adventure. If you’re into secondhand hunting, this Goodwill is worth checking out because it nails that balance between everyday usefulness and the occasional vintage surprise.

Easy to find, hard to park. It's a smaller style goodwill but still has some nice stuff. They screen so much out for online selling that's It's tough to find a rare deal in shoes, clothes, jewelry and the like. To small a store to host furniture like chairs and larger. Great place to find knick knacks and random household items. You never know, you might find exactly what you're looking for. Last time I was there, a dude found a case full of Thomas the train tracks for $13. He said it was $400 new. I said, have fun playing train tonight. He said, thanks.

I really enjoyed it here. The security guard was really good at his job and courteous. The mannequins has such great outfits that I bought the entire fit. Will definitely return soon!

Easy place to drop stuff. I am moving and brought almost 200 quality books, furniture and clothes. The girl that helped us at the back door area was the most unfriendly person i have ever dealt with in a donation center. I left feeling she was making me a favor, no thank you, difficult to get a proper written receipt for tax deduction, and hardly said a single world during the time we were unloading. I disposed of books worth hundreds of dollars. I live in the neighborhood. Next time i will donate somewhere else.

Came with a friend that loves thrifting, I live in the neighborhood so why not? They had some Jordan's in a display case. I could tell they were fake. They're sold in store because Ebay has a guarantee policy that they don't have knockoffs. Go shop at Out of the Closet. They help HIV patients and have a pharmacy attached and have a rewards card.
