Buffalo Exchange Phoenix is a standout spot if you’re into thrift shopping and secondhand style. This store is part of a chain known for curating a sharp selection of used clothing, so you won’t find just random cast-offs here. Instead, the focus is on quality pieces that range from vintage threads to contemporary streetwear. It’s a place where shoppers in Phoenix can dig through racks of well-chosen items and come out with something that actually feels special.
Walking into Buffalo Exchange Phoenix, you’re met with a clean, organized space that makes browsing a lot easier than your typical thrift store shuffle. The clothing is the main attraction, but there’s also a small but thoughtful mix of accessories, shoes, and sometimes even furniture or housewares. While you won’t find every classic thrift category like large collections of books or home decor, the emphasis stays on wearable items that keep people coming back.
What sets Buffalo Exchange apart in Phoenix thrift circles is how they blend vintage flair with modern trends. It’s not just about old clothes but finding pieces that fit a current vibe, from retro denim jackets to graphic tees and unique boots. Sellers bring in their gently used items, and the store buys directly from them, so the inventory constantly rotates. That means no two visits are quite the same. For anyone who enjoys secondhand shopping with a bit of style sensibility, Buffalo Exchange Phoenix is a solid pick.
If you want to avoid the overwhelm of digging through piles and instead browse a curated collection of used clothing and vintage finds, this is worth a visit. The vibe here leans more urban and youthful, attracting shoppers who care about sustainability but don’t want to sacrifice an edgy, updated look. Buffalo Exchange Phoenix nails that balance.

I love this store. I love the people working there. I love that they're all different. And vibrant and that they all buy what they love and being different about, but they do it to an extreme just a little bit, but not everybody's perfect. And you're supposed to be a used clothing store and you guys are trying to be a brand newest clothing store. You're not used items, people have worn these before. And I know, nobody has never not gotten a stain on something. And it not be resellable, it is you guys taken little too extreme. If you can tone that down, I would bring way more stuff in cause I used to sell to you guys up on Missouri, and they were so much more lenient than you guys are. I'd love you guys to death. You guys are awesome. You guys love your work. Whatever you do with the fashion and your life and you guys stick to it. I love it.
I went in with some items I wanted to "exchange." While the store couldn't use anything I had, the buyer did not shame me for being a middle age lady with unhip clothes. All of the staff members were friendly and welcoming. This place is like a thrift store, but cleaner and with better music. Prices are higher than what I usually pay at thrift stores, but the selection is curated, and there's less junk to sift through. The place was hopping when I went in on a Wednesday evening. There was a wait for the buyer to get to my stuff, but not too long. The buyer thoroughly explained the process before looking at my items. One warning: The store shares a small parking lot with a restaurant and a coffee shop. When we arrived, the parking lot was packed, with not one open space. We drove around, found nothing, then waited probably 5 minutes for a spot to open up. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would come back if I were looking for a particular item of clothing or accessory or if I had hipper clothing to sell.
I would not recommend selling here. Their style seems to be more y2k. I wish they would take a limit, I was stuck waiting behind someone with 8 laundry baskets full of clothes. They only have one person buying (On a Saturday) so it took almost 40 minutes. Cool place if you like that style, but I will not be going be to this store.
Do not sell here, waited over 2 hours, for one pair of brand new $250 jeans to only be told as soon as I was called they don’t accept “straight leg jeans”. If you see someone waiting for that long with one item in hand when there are clearly other people being helped with bags of clothes it would make sense to tell me that you wouldn’t accept them instead having me wait for two hours. Literally was at the counter for 5 seconds after waiting. Clearly need a better system and a better way to train your employees, and to mention they were plenty of “straight leg jeans” in there. If you don’t Take Designer clothing that could’ve been said before I waited two hours when you could clearly see me holding the pair of jeans
Do not sell anything to this place. I just tried to sell a very very good pair of work boots with the box. Only worn maybe 2 or 3 times. They are in near to perfect condition. I waited in line for 2 hours only to find out they attempted to lowball me so hard that they only where gonna offer me 11 dollars cash or a 45 dollar store credit for a pair of shoes I originally got for 130 dollars. By the way the brand of the work boots are caterpillar.
