Can’t say enough good things about this Goodwill. Everyone was super friendly, the store was clean and well organized, and they had dressing rooms (with benches for the kids!) Spent about an hour here and found a bag full of really nice clothes for very reasonable prices.
Nice employees. Prices were high, but that’s overall for Goodwill stores the last few years. Clean. Great selection. My partner used the dressing rooms, and they were well kept.
My suggestion is that they move items that are under their 24 hour hold policy off of the floor, or find another way to ensure others are not able to remove the owner’s receipt and re-purchase.
I feel like a jerk giving a Goodwill a bad review. I love Goodwill. I like this one, I like all of them. But I had a really weird experience here. I went to buy a $1.99 kitchen scale the other day. I noticed that the other ones were marked $4.99 but they were name brand and this was a cheap off brand so I didn't think much of it. It became clear after my interaction with the cashier that this was the wrong sticker, that he thought I'd switched them, and that he wanted me to feel very bad about it. He tapped on it and said "Ohh...1 of 2...I see. So this is TWO pieces?" I hadn't caught what he was driving at yet so I said no. He scoffed and said, "Oh yeah. I know. I'll be right back." He never explained what he was doing, just walked off to the back and returned several uncomfortable minutes later, after the line had gotten long and people were starting to get annoyed and stare, this time with the right sticker and a smirk, like he was very proud he'd caught me. He held it up so everyone could see and tapped it. "$4.99. See?" On the one hand I get it, theft is a problem. I wasn't embarrassed because I didn't switch the tags, and I wasn't ashamed, because I didn't select that item because I really needed the three dollars, I was just kind of mad. He thought I was desperate enough to steal three dollars, and he felt the right response to that was to point to it and call it out, so that I *did* feel shame and embarrassment. It's Goodwill. People shop here because they don't have money. Have a little sensitivity, my guy. You could have quietly explained that the tag was wrong, offered to grab the right one, and not made a scene. If someone actually needed that three dollars they would have appreciated the tact and decency.
Terrible service from manger Midya and stocker Chris. People working here seem careless of Goodwill policy and rude with attitude. Rushing me to buy item because people asking about it. I wasn’t ready to checkout but because of there attitudes I decided to checkout and bought an item that didn’t work. You will not get your money back only store credit. An employee drop the price because electric table didn’t work and manger Midya and Chris yelled at him for that and left the same price for broken item. Be very careful what you buy because they’re trying to rip people of with broken items. Make sure you test item before you pay. I hope this store improves their service and people they hire because no coming should experience what I went through with this store.
