If you’re into thrift shopping in Chandler, the Salvation Army Thrift Store and Donation Center is a solid spot to check out. This Chandler Salvation Army location carries the familiar vibe the chain is known for — a mix of well-organized shelves and racks filled with a broad range of secondhand items. It’s not just about used clothing here; you can expect to find furniture, housewares, books, and sometimes vintage pieces tucked among the everyday finds.
Because it’s a Salvation Army, the focus is on community and giving back, which adds a meaningful aspect to every purchase. The selection fluctuates often, reflecting whatever donations have come in, so it’s worth visiting regularly. The used clothing section includes everything from casual wear to more classic vintage styles, which is great if you like to sift through racks for something unique.
Furniture is another big draw at this Chandler thrift store. Pieces range from small side tables to larger items like couches or dressers, often in surprisingly good condition. Plus, the housewares and kitchen items make it a practical stop for anyone setting up a home on a budget. Books are scattered throughout, often with some interesting finds for those who enjoy secondhand reading material.
The Chandler Salvation Army really represents what thrift shopping is about here: affordable, diverse options with a purpose behind it. Whether it’s updating your wardrobe, hunting for a vintage jacket, or furnishing a room, this thrift store has a rotating inventory that keeps things fresh. It’s a reliable part of the Chandler thrift scene and worth dropping by if you want to see what’s new on the racks.

This location is very clean, organized and has NO musty or chemical smell. The employees were friendly and accommodating. I like the warm atmosphere it gives as soon as you enter the place
It was great! Their prices are fair, unlike the larger stores that way overpriced stuff Got this great purse by Sakroots for $5.99
I frequent this location in Chandler and for the most part, it’s always a pleasant experience. For some reason, I don’t know if this is a Salvation Army policy but they keep their bathroom locked and to ask somebody to open it is like pulling teeth. Yesterday, I witnessed a lady probably in her 70s who immediately had to use the bathroom. She proceeded to walk up to The employee and asked her to unlock the bathroom. The employee then said to her the bathroom is closed for the rest of today. Keep in mind this was at 11 AM but she begrudgingly got the key and opened it up. The elderly lady said you know it’s very difficult for us grandmas who have to use the bathroom. This location is directly up the street from Sun Lakes retirement community! Do better Salvation Army in Chandler.
Older dark haired worker is extremely snappy and rude. She always seems to be in a bad mood. Other then that, everyone is super nice and friendly.
I didn't have to go through my closet looking for things to donate. Didn't have to choose the Salvation Army over Goodwill (who just uses min wage labor to peddle free inventory) with the hopes of it serving a better purpose. Didn't have to drive back and forth across town on a busy afternoon. The lady up front also didn't have to nag me repeatedly in a really annoying tone about how I should be dropping off around back because she can't leave the front (to help a total of 0 customers waiting), when it's my first time to this location and there's no obvious directions to do so. Next time I find something someone else might be able to use, I think I'll just throw it in the trash.
