Evergreen Goodwill in Seattle is a solid choice if you’re into thrift shopping and want a dependable place to browse used clothing, vintage pieces, and more. This Seattle thrift store is part of the Goodwill chain, which most people know for supporting job training and community programs through their thrift sales. That adds a good feeling to every find you score here.
Walking in, you’ll notice the variety right away. It’s not just clothes—though the racks hold everything from casual wear to some interesting vintage jackets and dresses. There’s also furniture, housewares, and a rotating selection of books. The furniture section is hit-or-miss, but when it’s stocked, it’s worth a look for solid secondhand pieces that can add character to your space. The housewares often include kitchen gadgets, dishware, and decorative items that fit nicely into a thrifty home makeover.
Evergreen Goodwill’s setup makes it easy to spend a good chunk of time digging through what’s there without feeling overwhelmed. If you’re patient, you can find some neat vintage items tucked among the everyday clothing and household goods. Because it’s a Goodwill, the inventory changes frequently as new donations come in, so repeat visits often pay off. The prices are reasonable, reflecting the local market, and the staff tends to be helpful if you need a hand finding a size or a certain type of item. For anyone who enjoys Seattle thrift store hopping, Evergreen Goodwill fits right into a mindful thrifting routine — practical, community-minded, and with enough variety to keep things interesting.

I got this amazing chaise lounge here for $25!!! They helped me load it into the car and everything. The other Goodwill’s closer to Seattle Really jack up the price and I feel like this one Has some good deals. I leave with a treasure almost every time I come
This was my second time visiting this location. The staff was so friendly and the store was nice and organized in the clothing portion. I liked how the store was decorated. Each row of clothing had a display curated in the center of figurines, pottery and other home goods. The back part of the store is the furniture, dishes, household items, crafts, books, etc... it was like a treasure hunt but, some area were disorganized probably due to customers picking through. There were purses and bags on the floor in one isle, metal wall hangings spilling on the floor in another. All and all, everything was organized well. My daughter and I left with some good finds. We found 4 purses/handbags, craft tin with vintage sewing supplies, silk blouse, 2 pairs of leggings (one new), faux fur jacket, and 2 necklaces. We spent $133.
They always conveniently tape over any cracks or chips in an item so you can’t see it unless you actually remove the tape. That is so shady and deceiving. Too many times I have come home and removed tape from an item only to find it was covering a chip or crack. If you are going to buy from this Goodwill, make sure to remove any tape while in the store before buying so you can fully inspect the item.
There’s a store attendant who is so aggressive in his manner for clients. On multiple occasions I’ve heard him raise his voice at customers, belittle customers and be plane rude. It frightens my little one when he shouts at the cashiers stand. He clearly hates his job. His name is Angelo. Please Angelo move on to a good that you actually enjoy and leave us to shop in peace. (Ballard location).
Please be aware this place has been the biggest nightmare!!! I purchased two lots both total 19 pounds. My shipping originally was 20 pounds when I won the auction and I went to pay it was charging me an extra $15 so a total of 35 shipping so I wrote to them letting them know to see if someone can help and I did get a respond but I was told that yes the shipping was incorrect and it will be fixed so I was like okay thank you A little while later, I went to pay for my items and yes the shipping was changed to $50 dollars ?? lol it’s been several days with no reply from what I read online, they do that to everyone.
