If you’re in Vinton and into thrift shopping, the Goodwill Store and Donation Center here is a spot worth checking out. As part of the larger Goodwill chain, this store carries the kind of reliable variety you expect—used clothing, furniture, housewares, books, and vintage items. Vinton Goodwill Stores have that familiar feel where every visit brings a new batch of secondhand treasures, from casual wear to some surprisingly stylish vintage pieces.
Goodwill stores have a solid reputation for supporting community programs through their sales, so when you shop here, you’re also contributing to local job training and other nonprofit efforts. It’s easy to lose track of time browsing through racks of clothes or flipping through books, all priced to encourage discovery.
At the Vinton Goodwill Store, the furniture section is worth a look. It’s a good spot to find pieces that need a touch of TLC or just a second chance. Housewares and kitchen gadgets also show up regularly, so it’s a smart stop if you’re setting up a home or just adding character to your space with secondhand finds. The mix changes often, which is part of the fun—no two trips feel the same. If you enjoy the hunt, Vinton Goodwill Stores deliver plenty of chances to score something that fits your style or needs.

There is nice people that work in this goodwill there was this one guy who was working today he was so nice to me he was working at the cashier
Always smells nice. I did notice things I could go to the Dollar Tree, right next door, and buy for $1.25 are marked $2.99 in this store. Made me giggle. On a positive note I got my daughter 4 beautiful shirts for only $8.00!!! That's a WIN for us!!!
I got some cool chess pieces at the Vinton Goodwill for a great price! They’re very nice pieces, only thing is they aren’t a complete set. The customer service was ok. The older lady running the register kept talking to me about customers she’d served during the day. At one point she said “A lot of people who come through here are just idiots!” She said the customers not always right and asked my opinion. When I didn’t answer, she kept asking me my opinion.
No fitting room.... in a CLOTHING store. Tall older female employee was rude when asked if there was a fitting room, so I set everything down and walked out. Will not shop somewhere with attitude and with no way to try on jeans.
The cashier lady looks so confused and was rude towards me. She needs better training and should have a better attitude towards customers. Every time I shop here the cashiers are so rude and don’t seem happy. They over price dirty stained and broken items.
