If you’re exploring Suffolk thrift options, Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia stands out as a solid spot to check out. This Goodwill location offers that classic thrift store experience with a wide variety of used clothing, furniture, housewares, books, and even some vintage finds tucked in among more modern items. Goodwill Stores are known for their community-focused mission, so every purchase here helps fund job training and other local programs, which adds some extra feel-good to the bargain hunting.
The Suffolk Goodwill Stores are pretty well organized for a thrift shop, making it easier to browse through racks of secondhand clothing without feeling overwhelmed. You’ll find everything from casual everyday wear to occasional vintage pieces if you’re patient and keep an eye out. On top of clothing, the furniture selection is worth a look, especially if you’re into giving used pieces a new life. Sometimes there are nice wooden chairs or small tables that just need a bit of TLC.
Beyond apparel and furniture, this Goodwill also carries housewares and books, which can be a pleasant surprise for anyone who loves flipping through used novels or hunting down kitchen gadgets without paying retail. It’s the kind of Suffolk thrift stop where you can spend some quality time poking around and come out with a bag full of practical buys and maybe a few unexpected finds. For anyone who enjoys secondhand shopping in the area, this Goodwill is a dependable, steady choice.

Tania, Karen, Glen and Javon are the best crew!! Always so friendly and helpful! Knowledgeable and sweet! Can't beat that combination! My favorite Goodwill! They are a small treasure chest of kindness and good thrifting!
I normally do not post reviews. I must say everything I was talking about with my sister they had. I did find some extra items as well. have to give à big shout out to Ms. Tania, Javon and Tim thier outstanding customer service. From the time you walk into the store they make you feel welcomed. This is one of the Goodwill stores I have been in. Keep up the great work. Loving this store.
I don’t usually make post but my wife and I stopped in just to take a peek and soon as we walked in I had been asking for a turkey fryer and we have been procrastinating👀👀👀 This was actually a very clean a refreshing thrift store , the cashier and the staff was very pleasant. Needless to say …… 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻We found one for half the price we was going to purchase one for !! I tell you I not make a sound the next time she says I’m stopping at the Goodwill… Now if she could just come by a Kamando smoker 🤣🤣 Who would have known?? Now I will be happily frying a turkey for this year 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Do not take glassware to this location. One of the employees who loads it into the large trailer, takes the boxes and throws them on top of the other items in the trailer. I could hear the vintage glassware from my parent’s estate break with every box he threw. I have taken many loads to this location but will not go back.
Rude and unhelpful staff. I took several big bags of very nice women’s dress clothes & more. I just moved to the state & was unfamiliar with this location. (Usually someone walks out to greet/help.) I walked in to ask about the process and the woman “working” there was in casual conversation with someone else, & just barely muttered something and pointed outside. I was like…? So I walked outside and unloaded all of my bags into a bin. It was really nice stuff that could’ve easily been sold (by me) instead. Goodwill—your customers are giving you FREE items that literally keep you in business. From the amount of terrible reviews that seem to describe the SAME rude worker, one has to wonder why this worker is kept around. She clearly has no business being in a public-facing position. I went on to leave the items simply bc I needed the space, but I will absolutely never donate or buy from this location again if that woman is still there.
