I'm consistently impressed with the clothes in stock here. I recently picked up a vintage designer floral button down in great condition, and two new casual shirts all for less than one comparable piece at a retail store. The staff were helpful, and my partner was able to walk in and do a trade with little fuss. I'll definitely come back seasonally before I buy elsewhere.

Buffalo Exchange in Carytown attracts students and visitors as well. The resale store looks a bit overstocked and a bit confusing to navigate. Overall, customer service is good and the location is in a free parking area.

For a used clothing store like this, you wouldn't expect a basic sweater to cost the exact same price as it does brand new. They don't even look that nice. Some incredibly basic, not brand-name sweaters here sell for $60. Everything is so overpriced especially for what you're actually getting.

The staff knowingly sells broken items, even inside of the glass case. They then accuse you of breaking the item if you bring it up to staff. I would not recommend selling or buying here.

I used to enjoy browsing here, but the experience has really gone downhill. The young staff are consistently rude and act like you're bothering them just by walking in. On top of that, prices have gone up noticeably—even for worn or outdated items—but the quality hasn’t improved at all. It feels more like a curated Instagram boutique than a true thrift store now, and not in a good way.
