I found it a really interesting store because you can find real treasures if you're willing to look and know what's good. Obviously, if you're looking for something for yourself, you can find some great items, but you need to know how to shop and find the best deals. I found some real gems for very little money. I didn't even spend $30 and I came home with a ton of brand-new, top-quality stuff.
Lower level staff are very kind and helpful, but management at this location is rude and is especially incompetent in handling exchanges. At one visit an employee was explicitly forbidden from doing a two item exchange because it was 5 minutes after a non-posted “cutoff” time for exchanges. Every other time I’ve attempt to exchange items at this location, management has forced all customers with exchanges into one manned checkout line, not opening others regardless of how long the line gets, while just chatting in the background. I’ve had to wait 20-30mins to do exchanges at this store before. TLDR: this store is alright and the staff here are great, but do not try to exchange items here, the poor management choices will make you regret it, go to any other location if that’s what you’re looking to do.
I gotta say. . . The amount of money they are charging for random used things that they got for free is not. I repeat NOT worth your time. Savers needs to understand their customers better. We aren't looking to pay TJ Maxx prices for shorts. We are looking to pay thrift store used shorts prices. $14 for used shorts is criminal. They should be $4. Volume people. Get that FREE stuff sold. I won't be visiting again until I see advertisements stating that they have reassessed their pricing to make it make sense.
Worst experience I’ve ever had here. I used to come in to this store all the time and loved it but today from the minute I walked in I was profiled and this employee asked to take my bag and lock it up then when I proceeded to self check she said she would ring me up. Absolutely nobody else was being rung up and she made it abundantly clear she was watching me and had an issue with me. I love thrifting but today I left in tears and my experience was so horrible I will never return again. Again I will never shop here again and I would never treat someone the way she treated me.
Honestly hands down a rip off. There’s things here being marked at prices you can buy new. The DVDs here range from minimum $2 up to $8 from what I’ve found. There were grimy, sticker covered toasters being sold for $15! I can go to Walmart and buy a brand new one for lower than that. The pricing systems seem a bit shady and slimy. They seem to price the junky items that show up based on what you can find online, but the stuff online is well kept, includes all parts and has quality to it. On top of that, the people that shop here seem very unhappy, unfriendly and miserable! The place smells like sweaty butt and the longer you stay the more it smells. Go to the D.I.! The Deseret Industries is a hell of a bargain compared to this place and they’re all over the valley! Never coming back!
