I was there today when the power went out on 1/22/26 just as I finished my selection I was heading to the counter to pay when we had to evacuate the store. I asked management can they hold my items until the power came back on..and they did. Daisia remembered me from earlier and immediately went to retrieve my items. I really appreciate that.
I drove out to Houston to thrift today.I get to this location, browse, select my purchases try on my items get to the front had a great experience w the cashier he was very knowledgeable of product and rewards and the donation and welcome every single soul that walked in! He was VERY ATTENTIVE TO EVERYONE.however their Cards were down and MGMT didn't seem to care. standing up front laughed. The cashier did apologize and handled the store very professionally.
This Goodwill should be shut down most employees cannot speak English which is crazy this is Texas, Their return policy is horrible and everything in the shoot is disgusting they don't clean funirnite/books/clothes anything they need a inspector to come in here and see the Mess. This store should get closed down. Also an employee tried to scam my dad out of 100 dollars yesterday because she charged him on his credit card then proceeded to say he should give her 100 more
Today, around 12:30 PM, I experienced shockingly inhumane and disrespectful treatment from the pricing manager at Goodwill, 10770 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77042. I selected three pairs of shorts of the same brand, same size, same design — only different colors. All three were hanging together on the same rack. Two pairs had green $4.99 price tags, while one pair had no tag. At checkout, the cashier scanned the two tagged pairs at $4.99 and went to check the price for the third pair. He returned with a newly attached tag of a different color priced at $14.99. I calmly pointed out that the item was identical to the other two already scanned and questioned the $10 price difference. At that point, the pricing manager came over and, instead of resolving the issue fairly, raised the price of the two already-scanned pairs to $14.99 as well, stating it was her “mistake” and that all three now cost $14.99. I was told I could either accept the new price or leave without purchasing anything. I was shocked and deeply upset that I was effectively denied the purchase of items I had already brought to the register, simply for asking a reasonable question. This did not feel like correcting an error — it felt retaliatory and dehumanizing. This behavior is especially disturbing considering that Goodwill receives its merchandise for free, and I am a regular customer who consistently rounds up my total to support veterans and people in need. This experience directly contradicts Goodwill’s stated mission. I left feeling humiliated and disappointed and will avoid this location in the future. Management should seriously review how pricing managers treat loyal customers.
I was coming to get my mother and daughter some items because they recommended coming to this location. When I got to the counter I notice a nasty stain on one pair of pants 👖 for my daughter!!. I politely ask John to put it back a old Caucasian gentleman and he threw a temper tantrum like a child and request for manager!! Very rude to his customer I then I politely ask his manager her name she was nice and respectful 🙏 Ms. Iesha black lady with short hair! John needs to work on customer service i had no reason to be treated that way gives Goodwill a bad name for good customers have a blessed day!!
