If you’re into thrift shopping in Garland, Habitat ReStore Garland is a spot worth checking out. This isn’t your typical thrift store—it’s part of the larger Habitat for Humanity ReStore chain, which focuses on selling donated building materials, furniture, and household goods to fund local affordable housing projects. So, every purchase here does double duty: you get some good secondhand finds while supporting a solid cause in Garland.
At Habitat ReStore Garland, you’ll find a mix of used clothing, vintage furniture, housewares, and sometimes books. The inventory changes frequently, which keeps things interesting for regular shoppers. While their main draw tends to be gently used furniture and home improvement items like doors, lighting fixtures, and appliances, there’s often a selection of used clothing tucked in as well. Vintage fans might score some unique décor pieces or retro furniture that add character without the usual price tag.
The atmosphere feels relaxed and welcoming, and you can spend a good amount of time digging through the racks or browsing the aisles. It’s a great place for anyone who enjoys thrifting with a purpose behind it—knowing that your finds help fund affordable housing efforts in Garland adds an extra layer of satisfaction. Plus, the fact that it’s part of the Habitat ReStore network means the quality is usually pretty reliable. Habitat ReStore Garland offers a refreshing alternative to the bigger chain thrift stores, with a focus on community and sustainability that makes every bargain feel worthwhile.

Every time I come to the Garland location they have everything I need! No one can even come close to their prices and the quality of their merchandise. I visit this location at least once a week and ALWAYS find new items that weren’t there on previous visits and that is why I keep coming back. Customer service is also a 5 star experience every time. Pay them a visit . You won’t be disappointed!
Love going there on the weekends but they recently closed so that Good Will could expand. They are moving to a different location but I dont have that information. Will go to their new location when it opens
This location has a great selection of used furniture for a fraction of the retail price. The people working there were super kind and helpful when necessary. The prices are WAY better than the Habitat store that's down the road for them. I'd check this location out before trying the other. They have a huge variety of household furniture, clothes, baby toys, misc etc. I enjoyed my experience shopping here for the first time and I will definitely be back in the future to do more shopping. Highly recommend! Be sure to check out the furniture clearance pieces in the very back of the store. You are sure to find SOMETHING!
Not much of a selection and very over priced for what they did have. Went to McKinney, the restore there was better priced and selection
The pricing here is very close to market value and unaffordable I saw a “vintage stereo” here for $300 Dressers for $400-$600? I might as well should have saved me the drive and ordered something online Rediculous
