I love my Goodwill, in Newberg Oregon... it's the cleanest most Organized Goodwill I've ever been in, the Manager there does a Great job⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Next time you're in Newberg swing by and check them out!!!
I am giving this place five stars solely because of the cashier that I had. I unfortunately did not catch her name, but she had light brown hair and it was short and she had a thin build and she was just the sweetest kindest most helpful person I have ever experienced at any Goodwill store or at any store really. I ended up inviting her to come to church with me anytime she wanted and I ended up giving her my phone number and I really hope that she gives me a call because she is an absolute wonderful person and if her manager sees this, just know that you have an amazing and very caring employee working for you.
The Newberg Goodwill was very clean, and most of the children's books were "like new"! Not too crowded either. Best finds were: a piece of fine china for a set they don't make any more, and an almost new Paw Patrol toddler scooter We enjoyed our shopping experience 😀.
i love goodwill. love the prices, deals, the range of things i can find there; but i hate the service. there’s really only one lady in the newberg location that i actually enjoy talking to. Most of the employees make me feel like an inconvenience and/or chore to talk to. I find some of them are extremely rude when talking to, very snappy, short patience. There was two specific times that really confused me. I had two weddings to go to (one i was just attending and one i was in) me and my father came the day of one of the wedding to get him dress shoes. I was in formal attire (hence the wedding being within the hour) the women i mentioned that was sweet complimented my outfit, but staff were really rude, one of them telling me “there’s no fashion show nearby, you can take all of that off.” really confusing, and rude. the second one was where i was supposed to be in a wedding (flower girl) and we were looking for heels, i was wearing sneakers. i really don’t like taking my shoes off in public. i usually buy all my shoes online but it was short notice. They said i could try on the heels in the changing room. because of policy. which i get, it would be different if i was wearing black heels coming in and trying to try on another pare of black heels. but i was wearing sneakers.. which were white. i think you’d be able to tell if i was trying to steal them. The way staff have the audacity to talk to minors and adults is not acceptable. I really think i’ll only be coming here if i genuinely have too. Overall i do not recommend this goodwill location. really don’t. honestly try Sherwoods Ross Dress for Less. Please they have such better policies in my opinion and staff. 💕
Way over priced for items they get for free. What happened to how it used to be. People on a strict budget being able to afford things that they usually couldn't. Goodwill is a catch 22. Great but sucks
