Peter Pope and I took our black labs six month old puppy and nine year-old dog years. Wish I had time to sit in shop and visit this beautiful store we were able to give our friend a high five staff is very nice. Thank you for all your hard work. Also, it should be dog friendly, so the dogs can come in and pick out their toys.

I love shopping and donating at good will. Today, I was hoping to buy a pair of night stand/dressers, one of which was badly damaged on the drawer, but they were both marked at the same price. I asked if it would be possible to do a discount on the broken one. A manager came out and "put it back together" and made it appear to be in working condition with no discount added. I did not choose to purchase, but would encourage goodwill to make ethical decisions when selling items like this. Someone will probably buy the night stands thinking they are in working condition. It's just not nice to do that to your customers, especially when they supply the store for free.

I used to love coming to the Goodwill in Molalla. It was so convenient because it’s right down the street from my house. When they first opened in our town, the pricing was awesome. It was affordable and you could get a lot of stuff for an affordable amount. Recently, it has been so disappointing. I went in there the other day and found a pair of jeans that were priced at $40. Now I understand that regular retail pricing on clothes can be a lot higher than that, but there are a lot of places where you can find jeans that are the same quality for much cheaper and they are brand new. I love most of the employees that work there, but there is one who every single time when he saw that I was getting a good deal, while ringing me up he would always make a very snide comment about how shocked he was about how good of a deal I was getting as if he was accusing me of something and it wasn’t in a positive tone. It was in a very condescending tone. I then started to notice afterwards that all of the pricing on everything started going up and it’s just gotten higher and higher. From what I heard from an employee that I will not name, the certain person who made the snide comments was then put in charge of pricing. Also, after reading about Goodwill and their practices with underpaying employees, especially their employees who have disabilities It made me sick to my stomach. I also found out that Goodwill Has “boutique stores”. I guess at these boutique stores they take all of the designer items that were DONATED TO THEM and mark up the prices to sometimes hundreds of dollars. I also heard that they have a website where they take the most expensive things like jewelry and designer shoes and other high end products that again were DONATED TO THEM and they auction them off. Some items sell for thousands of dollars. It is just so frustrating to me because I grew up with a single mom who couldn’t afford to buy us brand new clothes so we would go to Goodwill and we were able to get what we needed at a very affordable price. Now you go in there and you find a shirt and you look at the price tag and they’re charging $20 for it. I thought that Goodwill was supposed to be for people who could not afford to buy brand new clothes. It seems to me that it has turned into a store where you should expect to just pay retail price. It’s just so disappointing after reading all the terrible things about Goodwill and experiencing it for myself. I used to go there weekly. Like several times a week because it had turned into my happy place kind of like my therapeutic place and now I refuse to ever step in there again or ever donate there again. My suggestion, if you feel the same way that I do is that you go to stores like Back To The Racks which is located in Molalla right next to Dominoes or to Kiwanis which is located in Canby. Both of these places are amazing! Back To The Racks will buy clothes back from you and Kiwanis holds onto clothes that were donated for one month and then after that month, any clothing that did not sell, they donate it all to people who are in need. They have amazing deals and are so friendly. You would not think that you would be able to find anything you’d want to wear in there because people will say that it’s only old lady clothes, but that is not true at all. I was just in there and they had name brand items that they did not jack up the price for just because it was name brand. I got a whole entire bag full of clothes filled to the brim for $25 and that included a brand new pair of jeans. Goodwill, you are disgusting to me. And I pray to God that your CEO is one day arrested for the horrible things that he is doing. People need to realize that all of the money made is not being donated but that it’s going right into the CEO‘s pocket. Rather than shopping there look for smaller Thrift stores. A lot of them are nonprofits or they are in line with local churches where they give clothes to the church so people in need can come in and get them for free. Shame on you Goodwill.

My daughter and I stopped in here for thy very first time last week. We found a Chewbacca talking mask that had a price of $1.99 on it. The sticker was placed on top of another sticker when we picked it up. Took it to the register to buy it and the lady goes to scan it and then looks at me with a accusing expression and tone says it's $10.00. I said no, that it was marked $1.99 and that's how the stickers were when i picked it up from the shelf. She sternly says it's $10.00. She never removed the price sticker to see what was under it, just blurted out it's $10.00. I said we don't want it then and walked out. I've never been in this store before and will never return since she was accusing me of price tag swapping, which I have never done and would never do! I do NOT recommend shopping here, especially since like most Goodwills the items they received for free are overpriced and many times more expensive than buying the exact same item brand new in a regular retail store.

A couple weeks ago these salt shakers were $3.99 (which is a lot considering) I didn’t buy them then because I thought the price was ridiculous. Now coming back weeks later they’re $8 a piece/ $16 for a set. Why price gouging? Especially on donated items… Seems to go against the mission of the company.
