My usually, mostly, well behaved kid was over it today and making a run for it, our cashier made some casual conversation about patience and Santa with my little unruly monster in such a kid friendly way. Especially because we are always able to find such great children's books here! He didnt have to do that, but he went out of his way. Thank you!
Purchased an item today that had 2 different tags. At the register I mentioned it. She scanned the lower price tag and said it wasn't valid as the item had been previously returned and the other tag was the new correct one. The original tag was 7.99 "toys" and the newer one was 9.99 "wares". I asked isn't that wrong to mark it up like that? She just shrugged and said something about multiple employees doing prices. If I was buying it for me I would have stopped right there and not bought it, but it was a toy microscope that my son really wanted. Just be aware of what they are doing at this store. Marking up returns and not even bothering to remove the old tags.
Will not allow you to shop peacefully an hour before close. I get off work later so I tend to shop around 6pm or 7pm as I can’t get there sooner. The store closes at 8pm and starting at 7pm there is a particular manager, I believe named Kim, that starts making announcements to be done shopping by 7:45pm. Then at 7:45pm they start turning off the lights, flickering the lights, going around the store and telling everyone, individually, that they are closed. If you don’t move along and checkout before 7:45pm the manager will make very loud remarks about how rude it is that we haven’t left. This has happened on multiple occasions however at my most recent visit it was the rudest it’s ever been, even the lady in line behind me mentioned it. I have reached out to Goodwill to ask about the company policy on active shopping hours to however I have not heard a response yet. If they are closing at 7:45pm then their hours need to be updated.
Today , need to go and relax for a minute before going to work. What a surprise when I was paying my 3 items with a 50.00 dollars bill the cashier didn't have change and ask his manager Brandon to getting it for him he was very upset with the cashier Quentin and scream from the back door next time don't get those bills, next he look at me am Hispanic lady and he thought I didn't speak English and toll the chasier she needs to take this 20.00 dollar bill that is all ripped and give me my change ,I said Am not taking this bill ,his answer was you have to take it, he had more bills on his had to change that bill for me an he insisted on me to take it,that I have to that there was no option.so dice to return my items and for him to give me my 50.00 dollars back .He rather have a avoided ticket that just exchange the 20 dollar bill. I told him ,,I will call to speak to the manager and he scream at me am the manager, Am very disappointed at this location 😒 been going for the past 6 to 7 years and this is how the manager in charge is treating the costumers very sad 😔 😟 🙁 he doesn't suppose to be a manager.screaming at the chasier that was very polite ,helpful respectful.
Have been to this Goodwill numerous times before, however I was dropping off very nice gently used items and planning on shopping, but the experience today was quite disappointing. I patiently parked my car right next to the drop off zone near the cones because it was very busy and I had only one large box to donate including women’s clothing and a very nice vintage wool Chiefs blanket. I proceeded to grab the box from the back of my car while the employee at the door watched from afar. I closed my trunk and began walking the box up to which I was greeted by the most rude reply. I could not walk my box up, but had to drive up. No problem. I went to set my box down right next to the cones and pillar and pull my car up. The employee proceeded to tell me it was store policy that I walk the box back to my car, put it back in my trunk and then pull up. I couldn’t set it down where I was to save me the lift back, and then pull up. The employee working the drop off was very rude not only in his approach, but his tone and discussion about how to drop off items. It was completely unreasonable the way he spoke to me and treated me. I am willing to follow store policy and the rules with no issue. It was in the way I was treated. Policy or not, kindness goes a long way and was completely absent. There is a much better approach to those willing to give their items. I politely returned to my car with my single heavy box and left. Someone out there needing these items will appreciate it more than me leaving it behind with this employee.
