Goodwill; a magnificent wonderland of gently-used treasures. What a vast array of unique finds for such incredibly low prices! Sure, I went a bit over budget; no regrets here. With such quality brands represented (and a few more obscure ones as well; labels mean nothing to me, I am an avid dollar store shopper and would prefer a gently used Target crossbody to an LV most days), there were certain purchases I just couldn't resist. My favorite finds were well-crafted button downs and turtle necks with an 80's flair (interesting fabrics, oversized buttons, bold prints, bright shades of colour). These items may have had the smallest price tag; however, with my wardrobe (slightly all over the place; I prefer the term "eclectic"), they have quickly become staple pieces (ie emerald green velvet button down; please see attached media). I thoroughly enjoyed perusing glassware as well. This was a true adventure, as no two pieces were the same. Another notable section (in close proximity to the register) would have to be records. If only I had more time to peruse...and I just may have to return for this purpose alone. Other interesting finds included a honey leather vintage MK structured "slouch" bag with overstated gold emblem (in flawless condition) for under $7, durable cushion-detailed snap case for sunglasses under $2, GoDaddy (spons) NewEra fitted cap for under $5; and the icing on the cake... Harry Potter-themed insulated hot/cold Tervis in impeccable condition for under $4. I felt as though I'd just struck gold with every single find. Not to mention; incredibly fun atmosphere. Service 10/10; all attendants extremely warm and welcoming. I felt like I truly belonged there. This solidified Goodwill as a real gem 💎 in my book. Thank you for the one-of-a-kind experience, Goodwill. You are, genuinely, the eclectic shopper's paradise.
Goodwill has turned to greed! Not understanding why all of the donations they resales are priced ridiculous overpriced for stuff they paid nothing for...I understand helping the community and various programs. But to resale a used pair of Gym shoes for $35 bucks you might as well buy new. What about those who can't afford $35 bucks or a skillet for $7.49. I realizes the times we are in with inflation. Yet still! Just saying!!!
Most of the employees are okay and keep to themselves. The store is organized by one lovely associate who is usually by the purses and women’s pants. The older lady who closed on Friday, however, always gives me such a time when I try to get my items bagged. After she’s done scanning she rushes you to pay as quickly as humanly possible but won’t help bag at all. She leans over the items while scanning them so I can’t really get them bagged while she scans … it’s literally not a big deal but while I am bagging my crap after paying she gives me a death stare so I start to worry about the customer behind me. This has happened several times now, so today while paying I intended on selecting that my service was “okay” or “neutral” on the pin pad But lady had swung it around and select “great” 😃 Otherwise, you find good merchandise, prices are okay. A discovery dress still had the tag new priced originally at 6.99$— goodwill priced it 5.99$ so it’s your pick if that’s a deal or not. When did Goodwill stop helping the customers bag?
I went in because they had a great 20% off sale on summer apparel (so they advertised) It all rang up at $139.01. I asked if there weren't any discounts and the young man said no. When I asked the another associate he said that there was a sale but was going to need to call a manager to confirm whether or not each of the articles was summer apparel. What a waste of time!!!
The store itself is great. I always find something when I shop here. The problem is the aggressive and rude regulars who hang out all day waiting for the carts and racks to come out of the back room. I do not understand how the staff allows this. I actually witnessed one of them eating lunch out of bag one time. This is loitering and it makes shopping a very uncomfortable situation. I know the staff is aware so why is this tolerated. I shop at many different locations and this is the only location I have repeatedly witnessed this.
