If you’re into Long Beach thrift shopping, 2nd Street Long Beach is a spot that really captures the city’s laid-back, creative vibe. This isn’t a big chain or a flashy store; it’s an independent shop that locals swear by. You’ll find the shelves and racks packed with a diverse mix of vintage and used clothing, plus furniture and housewares that have a bit of personality. It’s exactly the kind of place where the selection feels curated by someone who genuinely loves secondhand.
Walking in, you’ll notice they carry more than just clothes. There are interesting books, kitchen items, and sometimes quirky décor pieces that stand out. The furniture here ranges from mid-century finds to sturdy, slightly worn-in pieces that can be revived with a little TLC. It’s perfect for folks who want to add character to their homes without breaking the bank. For anyone serious about Long Beach thrift shopping, this spot offers variety without feeling overwhelming.
The used clothing leans a lot into vintage styles, so you can expect to see everything from classic tees to well-preserved jackets. It’s great if you want to dig through racks and find something that fits your style and your budget. Plus, the staff is approachable and knowledgeable, willing to chat about the items or give tips on the best finds of the day. This local shop feels more like a community hangout than just a place to buy stuff, which makes the secondhand experience feel authentic and enjoyable.
If you want to spend an afternoon browsing through true local Long Beach treasures, 2nd Street Long Beach is a solid choice. It’s a reminder that thrift shopping doesn’t have to be rushed or stressful; it can be about discovery and appreciating the stories behind each piece. You get the satisfaction of giving used items a new home, all while soaking up a bit of that Long Beach energy.

I have been to 2nd Street USA about three times now twice as a consumer and once as a seller. As a consumer, I love the variety and style offered at this thrift store. I also appreciate not being bothered by the staff and allowing me to look around freely like a thrift store consignment, not a corporate fast fashion house. As a seller, I was offered more than a fair price for the designer clothes that I offered, I was very pleased with the quote. They gave me for items, such as Alexander Wang and supreme.. I would recommend 2nd Street USA to any Long Beach local as I do find them fair, honest and efficiently trying to run a Long Beach business.Thank you AJ thank you 2nd street. Yelp reviews do NO justice to this joint. it’s simply awesome!
Good selection ,but bummed they didn't buy my clothes that all were new with tags yet they have a lot of heavily worn items. Found 2 really good bags there new with tags at a good price so I will still be shopping there on occasion.
I have no idea what this place sells but I love the artwork on the side of the building. My family goes here at least once a month and just read all the different things they have painted. It's amazing how powerful a mural is, my recommendation would be to makeit more clear what the business does because I've been here 10 maybe 12 times and I have no idea what this business does but I love the mural
Really amazing location!! I love thrifting, I love fashion and I love vintage stores but this one felt off. It had some good pieces but I really think the person who is the buyer at this location might be stuck in 2014! Please enough with the neon maxis and polyester crop tops. I only saw pencil skirts and maxis. Where are the pleaded skirts? Any plaid? what about a cute low rise mini moment? I really wish they considered getting a new buyer! People with an eye. People with a vibe. I saw who was behind the counter….. and their vibe was not it! No one had cute style behind the counter. If the owner reads this pleaseeeeeee hire two new buyers with the eye! Have them go through the old stuff and detox! Trust me you have potential! The bags and shoes were ok! just over priced! Sorry $180 for Jeffrey cambells when they cost 240 lol sell those babies for $120.
Was genuinely just trying to enjoy the weather and walk around the shops after getting coffee and I wanted to go inside this store as I like collecting vintage sports gear for a specific team (which leads me to different parts of the store in which I see the color of clothing I’m looking for). My husband and I were greeted at the door but after being in the store for a few minutes, my husband began looking around on his own. I did see the security making rounds in the store but as I’m a genuine shopper I didn’t think anything of it. My husband received a phone call and stepped out of the store to take it while I continued looking. The security followed my husband out of the store and when I was about to walk out I didn’t see my husband outside so I turned around to scan the store and the security was like “he’s outside” - which in my opinion was a bit weird and when my husband told me he was being followed in/out of the store it’s obvious the security thought we were shoplifters. Both of us had coffee in our hands just like a bunch of other people in the store and we were dressed in normal clothes. I work for a major fashion brand’s corporate office and I didn’t think I needed to dress a certain way to show I had money. Especially as a fellow POC it’s insane this is even an issue in Long Beach of all places. My entire family has been in this neighborhood since the 80s but I guess I still don’t fit the look
