It was my birthday and I had a few bucks and a lot of time. After 3 hours of shopping I picked my items. Paid for my items and the checker states oh! There is problem with our system you will be refunded in 7 business days but you cannot take items home! What! Spoke to manager and he satisfied my request thankfully. Headquarters is ripping people off holding thier money for days! Unbelievable they haven’t fixed it something very wrong with that!!
People may think that wearing second hand clothing is a no-no but I say yes yes. Never do I ever get anything faded and most items that are attained have the tags still attached. New coat for me, really nice one for wifey and my sister will never know that her gift was $5. All together everything was $27.00.
Not recommend to donate here. 1. I wanted to take back the baby boss movie that I donated 5 minutes ago, I was still in the parking lot getting the third bag and, just thought I really should keep that movie and I told them I need the movies in the bag back, the girl said , " once it is donated, it's our own property, you can't take it back. But this time you can." ...it was just 5 mins ago and the bag was still sitting on the top of the pile... I am glad I have that movie back. 2. Second trip the same day, I donated a blue bean bag. There were 2 people in the donating site. Once I dropped off the bean bag, the other person sitting at the corner said he wants that bean bag..wait, i thought donations to the store should not be mixed with donate to an individual. The employee takes himself needs first. Am i donating to the employees of this Good Will store first then the actually customers get the rest of stuff and plus have to pay for it? Isn't it should be customer first? A little more self respect on this position and the meaning of Good Wills instead of taking the donation directly. I have never seen a Good Will employee like this at any other Good Will donation sites. The employee who took the bean bag from my hand was nice enough. Please do not promote the pirate behavior and teach the new employee to copy. Please make the earth better and keep the purpose served right and clean.
Shockingly overpriced. The prices are the same as brand new, and they have started charging spearate prices for certain brands instead of the usual flat price. There are numerous other thrift stores in the area that are more reasonable, so I'm genuinely not sure how they're not losing money. I'm sure someone will copy and paste some generic response about how they provide jobs and training, as though that justifies the price gouging. It really doesn't- I've seen what their executives make, and compared ot to what they pay those people that they are supposedly helping by providing jobs and training, and frankly, it's a bit of a joke. No one is interested in those generic excuses- they just want to shop at a secondhand shop with normal secondhand prices. Until they get their pricing in line with other charity shops, I won't be going there.
Do yourself a favor not to come to this shop. I do not know what the managers have in mind. They made me feel sad for the shop. The following reasons are why you should not come: 1. There are not many items in the shelf for sale. They transport the locally donated items elsewhere to make money. What they have on the shelf is trashy. 2. They have forgotten this is a second hand shop, trying to milk the customers as much as possible. The price they demand is unreasonably high. You can get new stuff on sale cheaper than here. 3. The shopping environment is abysmal. The newly remodeled it by covering up all the windows. For shoppers and store employees, they cannot see natural light from inside. From outside, the windows are nearly all black. Why they try so hard to make the shop terrible? The locally donated items are not serving the local community at all. The "goodwill" the people has not been realized. The following is an update: The price is getting crazier. They started to price the items based on their evaluation of the brand and condition of the item rather than a fixed pricing system in which each type of clothing has a fixed price. If you happen to see a good brand, the chance is that they will put a hefty price tag on it. I am really losing my appetite shopping here. The positive side: the manager and employees seem to be reasonable. A few earlier employees here were fairly rude.
