So I'm seeing a lot of 1 star reviews for this location and maybe it's because I'm slightly new to thrifting and don't know what the prices should be...... but I found a Navigator 8-in-1 Record Player for a third of others prices. Tested it in the store, everything worked.....so I'm VERY pleased with my find. I just took a pic and asked Google about the price $160+ elsewhere and I got it for $45.

I only write reviews when someone moves me to such an extreme. We donate to Goodwill all the time, and since this store was having its grand opening, we thought lets help them fill it. My husband dropped a bunch of stuff off, that we had gone through, but two of the items were actually NOT meant for Goodwill but got taken to the store by accident. We discovered within 1.5 hours that we had accidentially given away a very important dual monitor stand and a custom made horse. I panicked. My son went 5o the store spoke to Mark and he said they would do everything they could to find the items but had received alot of donations that day. The next day, broken hearted, I called and spoke with the Manager Danny - let me tell you - Danny called and kept me updated on her search a couple times a day, not knowing if she would locate the items, she was trying to prepare me for the worst. Her search went on for 4 days and by Tuesday she had found these two items, she called and gave me the good news. My entire family was so happy, we rushed to the store to retrieve the items. Thank you Danny and Mark for working so hard to find these precious items, and for the intention and sincerity of understanding the importance to my family. Great team working at Goodwill in Buckeye on Rosevelt. Even the workers were invested in finding our items - this restored my faith back into society. Thank you ❤️

They continue to over price things they get for free. Also, they pull the items with the color tag that is on sale. This location is no different. Nothing good.

Very disappointed. This Goodwill is seriously overpricing donated items. I saw items marked at $69 and even small items for $39, which is shocking considering everything is donated for free. If you’re a regular Goodwill shopper, this location is way out of line compared to others. It’s frustrating and feels unfair to customers who come here expecting affordable prices. The pricing has gotten completely out of hand, and I won’t be returning to this location.

🚫 1 Star — Absolutely Appalling Price Gouging This is hands down the WORST Goodwill I have ever stepped foot in. The pricing is beyond outrageous — it’s a blatant cash grab. This store has completely lost touch with reality! The fact that this location is in Verrado is clearly being used as an excuse to jack up prices on DONATED items. That alone is disgusting! Examples of the insanity: • A single, unbranded camisole priced at $15 • Two mirrors priced at $60 and $100 • A USED hand truck priced at $250 — while the exact same item sells brand new at Home Depot or Lowe’s for $58 That is not “thrift.” That is exploitation. People shop secondhand to stretch their budgets, not to be price-gouged because of a ZIP code. For comparison, I visited two Goodwills in Scottsdale today and their prices were dramatically more reasonable. I also went to Ross and found better deals on similar items — brand new. When a discount retailer beats a thrift store on price, you’ve officially failed your mission. And for a “grand opening”? What a joke. • No color tag discounts • No door busters • No sales • No incentives of any kind Just overpriced junk with inflated tags. I raised these concerns with Blaine Jimenez, Manager of Special Projects, who was walking the store with a group of employees. His response was dismissive and patronizing. He said that the pricing is a “learning experience” and part of a “process.” I reject that excuse, it’s insulting. Pricing at this level does not happen accidentally — it’s approved, encouraged, and clearly dictated by corporate suits who have lost sight of what thrift stores are meant to be. All Goodwills may be greedy these days, but this one is the WORST. Avoid this location unless you enjoy paying luxury prices for donated items.
