Thanks to Dennis and Cookie for their customer service skills!
As with any thrift store sometimes it's hit or miss, but I did see many excellent bargains. The staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I'm being very picky right now and the only thing they could do a little better would be to organize their stock and group similar items together. I will definitely go back there as there are many things I need for my new apartment. I recommend this store if you are looking for something in particular, or just looking for a good bargain.
This Salvation Army store is relatively small and I’ve had better finds at the Downtown Rescue Mission across the street. But this is still a relatively is clean and organized store that I would rather go to than some others. I’ll stop by here to look occasionally and every once in a while have a good find.
Was great several years ago. Now the store is a complete mess. Staff sits around all day not cleaning or putting out new items.
The Salvation Army Family Store in Huntsville, Alabama is one of the highest priced thrift stores in the area. Example, every lady's dress regardless of the condition, is marked a minimum of $8.00. Wore out, dirty, tennis shoes $10. The furniture is unbelievably expensive. The store is very dirty. I don't know who's doing the pricing but they need a reality check and fast before the store goes out of business. I will not return here.
