Brilliant shop, lovely friendly helpful staff. I spend hours mooching. Really easy parking as they have their own car park.

Cannot believe the service here, listen to the warnings, the customer service is the worse, genuinely some of the furniture and little nic nacs are nice and can be worth it, however do not expect friendliness, helpfulness or decorum. Me and my partner went in today the older aged blonde lady who was on the till 6/8/25 was very rude seeming to anyone under the age of 30, she was not patient or polite, bought several items she did not think to ask me if I needed a bag and when I asked she huffed like it was my fault and charged me £2 for a bag that barely held my items when I could see she could of grabbed a big enough one, I have no idea why you would do this and act so miserable all day, I work in retail and understand it's not always sunshine and rainbows but that's not every customer who walks in problem, Honestly get some more uni staff to work in here they usually have a better ethic of work and are polite to customers. Please improve Salvation Army

Absolutely awful staff and customer service. My dad spotted a chair, it was £70 but he only had £50 on him, he asked if he could give them the £50 as a deposit and pop to the bank to get the extra £20 out. They told him no. So he rushed to the bank, then remembered he'd walked into town, so he popped home to get his car to put the chair in. He then called them to say he was on his way but they refused to hold it for 15 minutes, and by the time he got there it had a sold sign on it. For goodness sake, I feel like they went out of their to be difficult and unhelpful. Couldn't they have just put a reserved sign on it for an hour? Why did they choose to be awful people? What hope is there if you can't even be bothered

If I could leave less then 1 star I would. My mum went into the shop today to donate multiple items that were my grandads who sadly passed away. We always like to donate old items to charities rather than throw them away. My mum had some books to donate but the woman said they were too old so she wouldn’t take them. We also had about 20 crystal glasses which had been stored in the loft at home so obviously they had a bit of dust of them but she refused to take them because apparently they were too dirty and they don’t have the facilities to clean them which is fair enough but it was a bit of dust. She also said to my mum that whilst she’s putting all the stuff back into the car she may as well take it all to the tip rather than take it home!! I think the way my mum was spoken to was absolutely disgusting and very uncalled for. Unfortunately she didn’t get the name of the woman. I understand that they may not take certain items for various reasons but to talk to someone in such a vile tone especially after saying it was her late father’s things she wanted to donate is disgusting. This statement on your website may need reevaluating as my mum was told to take the stuff to the tip!! “Giving your unwanted clothing and household items to SATCoL’s clothing collection banks, diverts items going to landfill, and raises millions of pounds every year for The Salvation Army” We won’t be donating anything to the salvation army going forward and will be looking for charities that are grateful for what they’ve been given and not send people away to the tip to throw things into landfill…. I suggest looking into who your volunteers are and maybe give them some training on customer service and teach them what the values of the salvation army actually is.

Today after being parked in the carpark I was told My vehicle was going to be clamped and towed (illegal since 2012). We were in the store at 11:15 am and left at 12:45 but apparently we weren't allowed to park there "all day" even to visit the adjacent street of charity shops. You're better off parking in Aldi for free for 90mins. Very rude Manager and staff, she confronted my 12 year old son before I got to the car.
