If you’re into thrift shopping and happen to be in England, Oxfam England is definitely worth a visit. This Oxfam location is part of the well-known charity chain that’s been supporting good causes for decades through secondhand sales. What’s cool about Oxfam stores is that they focus on sustainability and community, so every item you pick up has a story beyond just being secondhand. The shop’s carefully curated mix of used clothing, books, vintage pieces, and even some furniture makes it more than just a thrift store.
Walking through Oxfam England, you’ll quickly notice how much effort goes into the displays. The clothing racks carry everything from everyday wear to some classic vintage finds, so it’s a solid spot for anyone who likes quality used clothing that’s been handpicked. Beyond clothes, they also have a broad selection of books, which is a big draw if you enjoy flipping through interesting titles without paying full retail. Plus, housewares and occasional furniture pop up here too, adding a practical twist to what’s usually expected in a charity shop.
What’s great about Oxfam England is that it’s not just about bargain hunting—it’s about thrifting with a purpose. The profits support Oxfam’s global efforts, so shopping here feels like contributing to something meaningful. You’ll find the atmosphere calm and inviting, a bit different from some other thrift stores that can feel overwhelming or chaotic. If you’re serious about secondhand shopping, Oxfam England deserves a spot on your list.

I love this bookshop, don’t think I’ve ever walked out without buying anything! Great range of genres from classics to contemporaries, all quite fairly priced. Small music section and the usual Oxfam bits at the front, loads of books in the back.
A lovely bookshop, one of my favourite places to pop in in the city. The staff are always really lovely and helpful, and they have a good selection of books with great circulation (so good to keep coming back regularly and having a look 😉). Def recommend to any readers visiting Sheffield, and a lovely place to donate books to.
Small, quaint second hand bookstore in Sheffield City Centre on the main road. Very helpful young ladies at the reception. The entry is level and i faced no problems going in with a pram. Steps inside. In the front of the shop are some books, a dvd collection and a vinyl collection. Some other items as well such as containers, cups, scarves. Inside is a properly labelled section containing a decent collection of books. Nice shop.
One of the best shops for books in the city. Full of a good range of books, goes further back than it looks from the street.
Had been told it was a good bookshop. Walked across town in the rain to find it was closed at 2.50pm on a Sunday. There was a sign with the same opening hours as Google right next to the Closed sign, so don't know if this is normally the case.
