Known across the UK for its charitable mission and well-curated secondhand goods, Oxfam locations often carry a broad range of items beyond just clothes. This particular store is no exception, offering everything from used clothing and vintage finds to furniture and housewares, plus a solid collection of books. It’s a classic place to dig through if you appreciate the thrill of spotting something with a bit of history or character.
Oxfam’s reputation as a charity-driven chain means your purchases support good causes, which makes the thrift shopping experience here feel a little more meaningful. very nice charity bookshop decent rotating selection only £3 per book
I absolutely love visiting the Oxfam Bookshop. The staff here are some of the loveliest people you could meet, always friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do. I’m especially grateful to Oxfam for promoting the Gaza appeal, it’s heartwarming to see them supporting such an important cause. The shop itself is well laid out, making it easy to browse their fantastic selection of books covering all sorts of subjects. Personally, I always find myself drawn to the comic book section, which has some great finds, and their vinyl records are a real treat too! The prices are very fair, and considering that the money goes to good causes, I never mind paying a little extra. A wonderful bookshop with a great atmosphere and an even greater purpose. Highly recommend.
Excellent book shop with great quality content. Has a big selection of cds/ dvd plus vinyl section. Shop staff are really friendly and extremely helpful. Thanks
Such a lovely bookshop. Friendly staff and a variety of well organised stock for all ages. I usually find a gem when I visit. Simon the manager is a star.
An essential and regular destination for the keen purveyor of used books; in addition to the vinyl, CDs, audio books, DVDs, and video games on offer. It is quite a challenge to leave this shop empty-handed. Overall, a good range of stock and a pleasant atmosphere conducive to an extended browse make this one of the best charity shops in Bristol
