At UrbanThrifter, we believe the thrift community deserves access to real, powerful tools — not watered-down ones hidden behind a paywall. April and I are thrifters ourselves, and we built this platform for thrifters.

What powers UrbanThrifter behind the scenes is anything but thrifted. We’re running some of the most modern technology available today — advanced AI, real-time data pipelines, cutting-edge APIs, and the kind of infrastructure that most platforms charge a premium just to touch. We built it this way because the thrift community is growing and deserves the same high-tech experience as any major platform out there.

And right now, we’re actively building it.

If you’ve stopped by today and run into any hiccups while trying to join, create an account, or access certain features — that’s on us, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience. We are currently in the middle of building out our membership system, including the gating and permissions that control what features are available to free members versus premium members. Things may be a little bumpy while we get everything dialed in.

That reality comes with real operational costs, so we created a thoughtful gating system that keeps the core experience genuinely useful and completely free, while offering premium upgrades for members who want to go deeper.
