Introducing the New Member Dashboard
We just shipped the biggest update to your UrbanThrifter member experience — a brand new, fully unified Member Dashboard with a built-in points system, real store rewards, and a complete analytics suite for store owners. If you’ve been using UrbanThrifter for a while, you know the old dashboard was spread across multiple pages. Your crawls were in one place, your store info somewhere else, billing on another page entirely. That’s done. Everything lives under one roof now — and we’ve added a lot more to that roof.
One Dashboard, Every Feature
When you log in and hit your dashboard, you’ll see your profile banner at the top — your avatar, display name, bio, and membership tier — with a clean top navigation below it covering every section you need:
- Overview — your stats at a glance, a live activity feed showing what you’ve been up to, and your new Thrift Cred level and progress
- My Store — (Store Owners) manage your listings, see reviews, dig into analytics, and set up Store Perks to reward your visitors
- Crawls — your created routes, saved crawls from other thrifters, crawl history, and your plan limits
- Events — upcoming community crawls, events you’re hosting, ones you’re attending, and past events
- Favorites — every store you’ve hearted, all in one list
- My Hauls — all your Thrift Haul reviews in one place
- Saved Searches — your bookmarked directory searches with alerts
- Billing — current plan, invoices, and upgrade options
- Settings — profile, password, privacy controls, and notification preferences
Each section that has subtabs (like Crawls, Events, My Store, and Settings) uses clean inline navigation so you never lose your place. No more page reloads — tabs load instantly. Your profile banner is editable right from the dashboard — click edit, change your name or bio, save, done.
Thrift Cred — Your Thrifting Reputation
This is the biggest new addition. Every meaningful thing you do on UrbanThrifter now earns you Thrift Cred — a points system that tracks your activity and levels you up through six tiers. Here’s what earns points:
- Check in at a store — on an active crawl or via Quick Check-In
- Rate a store after visiting
- Post a Thrift Haul with a real write-up about your finds
- Upload haul photos to show the community what you scored
- Complete a crawl — hit every stop for the full bonus, or at least half for a partial bonus
- Attend a crawl event
- Create a crawl that others use — build routes people actually run
- Maintain a streak — thrift consistently for 7, 14, or 30 days for escalating bonuses
- Scan a store’s QR code at the register for bonus points on top
Points are awarded automatically. No buttons to click, nothing to claim — just use the platform and your Cred builds itself. There are six tiers, each with its own icon and badge color that shows up on your profile across the site:
- Newbie Thrifter — 0 points. Everyone starts here.
- Thrift Scout — 100 points. You’re finding your groove.
- Haul Hunter — 500 points. A consistent, active thrifter.
- Crawl Captain — 1,500 points. Community leader territory.
- Thrift Legend — 5,000 points. Serious dedication to the craft.
- Urban Elite — 15,000 points. The highest tier. You live and breathe thrift.
On your Overview tab, you’ll now see a Thrift Cred section front and center — your current level with a progress bar showing how far you are from the next tier, a doughnut chart breaking down where your points come from (check-ins vs. hauls vs. crawls vs. streaks), and a 30-day streak chart that tracks your consistency over time. The system is built to be fair. There’s a daily points cap so nobody can grind endlessly, a cooldown period between check-ins at the same store (you can still check in and leave a review, but no Thrift Cred until the cooldown expires), GPS verification so points only go to people who are actually at the store, a minimum word count for haul reviews, and duplicate prevention so nothing gets double-credited. It rewards real thrifting, not gaming.
Store Perks — Real Rewards from Real Stores
Thrift Cred isn’t just a number. It unlocks Store Perks — real discounts and rewards that thrift store owners create for UrbanThrifter members. Store owners can set up three types of perks:
- Percentage discounts — like 10% off your purchase
- Dollar-off deals — like $5 off when you spend $25+
- Custom rewards — free tote bag, early access to new arrivals, first pick on weekend drops, whatever the store dreams up
Each perk has an unlock condition:
- Check-in perks unlock the moment you check in at the store — whether on a crawl or a Quick Check-In
- Haul perks unlock when you post a Thrift Haul review about the store
- VIP perks are reserved for members who’ve reached a certain Thrift Cred tier — giving you a real reason to level up
When you unlock a perk, you get a unique redemption code — something like UT-A3K9-7. Show it to the cashier, they verify it on the spot from their dashboard, and you’re good. Codes expire after 7 days, so use them while they’re fresh.
Quick Check-In — No Crawl Required
You don’t need to be on an active crawl to check in anymore. Every thrift store page now has a Check In button — on mobile it sits right below the Call Now button, on desktop it’s a pin icon in the header. Tap it, rate the store, snap some photos of your finds, write a quick note, and hit Check In. Done. Quick Check-Ins earn the same Thrift Cred as crawl check-ins — points for the check-in itself, for your rating, for photos, and for writing about your haul. Your phone’s GPS verifies you’re actually at the store, and GPS-verified check-ins get a blue GPS Verified badge on your review so other thrifters know you were really there. If you check in to the same store again within the cooldown period, you can still leave a review and photos — you just won’t earn Thrift Cred until the cooldown resets. And if your GPS says you’re too far from the store, the check-in still goes through but no points are awarded. Fair and flexible.
Store QR Codes — The In-Store Connection
Some stores now have an UrbanThrifter QR code sticker near the register. Scan it with your phone camera and it takes you straight to the store’s page with the Quick Check-In modal ready to go — plus you earn bonus Thrift Cred and instantly unlock any check-in perks that store is offering. Each store gets a unique permanent code — something like X7K3NP — that never changes. The store owner prints the QR sticker once from their dashboard and it works forever. No daily updates, no resetting, no hassle. If you can’t scan the QR, you can type the 6-character code manually for the same bonus. Not every store will have a QR sticker yet, and that’s fine — it’s a bonus on top of the regular check-in. If you’d love to see one at your favorite thrift store, let the owner know they can print one for free from their UrbanThrifter dashboard.
Store Analytics — Built for Store Owners
This is the one we’re most excited about. If you own or manage a thrift store on UrbanThrifter, the new Analytics subtab inside My Store gives you real data about how your listing is performing. At the top, you get five key numbers:
- Listing Views — how many times people have viewed your store page
- Check-ins — how many crawl participants checked in at your store during an active Thrift Crawl
- Thrift Hauls — the number of haul reviews visitors have left about your store
- Favorited — how many members have saved your store to their favorites
- Crawl Routes — how many community crawl routes include your store as a stop
Below the stats, the Activity Over Time chart shows your weekly check-ins and Thrift Hauls over the past six months as a grouped bar chart. You can spot trends at a glance — see which weeks brought the most crawl traffic and when people are talking about your store. If you manage multiple listings, you also get a Views Distribution chart — a doughnut breakdown showing how your page views are split across your stores. It makes it easy to see which locations are getting the most attention. The Store Breakdown table gives you a per-store view of everything: views, visits, hauls, average rating, crawl route appearances, and your listing profile completeness percentage.
Store Perks Management
The new Perks subtab under My Store is where store owners build and manage their rewards. Setting up your first perk takes about 30 seconds:
- Pick which store the perk is for
- Choose when it unlocks — on check-in, after a haul, or at a Thrift Cred tier
- Give it a title and set the discount type and value
- Save it and you’re live
You can pause a perk anytime without deleting it, edit it if you want to change the terms, or remove it entirely. The Perks tab also shows your store’s permanent QR code with a one-click print button, a quick-verify tool for checking customer redemption codes at the register, and stats on how many perks you’ve issued and verified. There’s also a new Check-Ins subtab where you can see exactly who’s been checking in — usernames, ratings, GPS verification status, and whether they came via Quick Check-In or a crawl. The verify tool works in real time — type in the customer’s code, hit verify, and you’ll see the perk title, the customer’s name, and when it was issued. Works great on your phone behind the counter.
Google Visibility
At the bottom of Analytics, you’ll find a Google Visibility section for each of your stores. It shows whether your listing is linked to a Google Business Profile and gives you a completeness score based on key fields — photo, description, address, phone, and website. A complete listing with all fields filled in ranks higher in search results and brings more foot traffic to your store. If something’s missing, it tells you exactly what to add.
Overview — Your Home Base
The Overview tab is the first thing you see when you open the dashboard, and we packed it with everything you’d want at a glance. Five stat cards across the top — Crawls Created, Crawls Completed, Stores Visited, Hauls Posted, and Saved Crawls. Each one is clickable and jumps you straight to the relevant tab. Your Thrift Cred section shows your level, your progress to the next tier, where your points come from, and your 30-day thrifting streak. Below that, the Activity Feed is a scrolling timeline of everything you’ve done over the past six months — crawls completed, routes bookmarked, hauls posted, events attended — grouped by month with icons so you can scan quickly. Hit “Load More” to page back through your history.
Crawls, Events, and Everything Else
Crawls has four subtabs: My Crawls (routes you’ve built), Saved Crawls (bookmarked routes from others), History (every crawl you’ve actually done with times, stops, photos, and shareable links), and Plan & Limits (your membership tier and what it includes). Events has four subtabs: Upcoming (open events to join), Hosting (events you’ve created with full status tracking), Attending (your RSVPs with instant cancel), and Past Events (your history). Favorites is your personal shortlist of hearted stores. Great for planning your next crawl. My Hauls is every Thrift Haul review you’ve written — view, edit, or delete from here. Saved Searches lets you bookmark directory searches and get alerts when new stores matching your criteria are listed. Billing shows your current plan, payment history, invoices, and upgrade options. Settings has four subtabs: Profile (name, email, bio), Password (change with validation), Privacy (visibility controls and data export), and Notifications (toggle digests, event invites, haul alerts, and marketing emails).
Designed for Your Phone
The entire dashboard is mobile-first. Tabs scroll horizontally on smaller screens, subtabs appear based on what you’ve selected, forms submit without page reloads, and every chart, card, and action works on touch. Whether you’re checking your stats at home on a laptop or verifying a perk code at the register on your phone, the experience is the same.
What’s Next
This is the foundation. Thrift Cred, Store Perks, Quick Check-In, and QR codes are all live and earning you points right now. We’ll be building more on top of this — ways to spend your Thrift Cred on exclusive rewards, community leaderboards, deeper store owner analytics, and more ways to connect the online and in-store experience. If you have feedback or feature requests, we’d love to hear from you. Head to your dashboard and take it for a spin.
