If you’re into thrift shopping in Scottsdale, the Goodwill Donation Center there is a spot worth checking out. Being part of the well-known Goodwill chain, this Scottsdale location carries everything you’d expect from a large thrift store—used clothing, vintage pieces, furniture, housewares, and a decent selection of books. The Goodwill chain is known for making secondhand shopping accessible and supporting community programs, so shopping here feels like you’re contributing to something bigger.
Walking through the aisles, you’ll find racks of used clothing that range from everyday basics to some vintage gems. It’s not uncommon to spot branded or retro tees mixed in with current-season finds. Beyond clothing, the furniture section often has some solid, functional pieces—think small tables, chairs, or shelves that can be great for apartment living or a quick upgrade to your space. Housewares are plentiful too, from kitchen gadgets to décor items that add character without the high price tag.
One thing that stands out about this Scottsdale Goodwill is the variety. Book lovers will appreciate the shelves filled with everything from novels to cookbooks, and sometimes even vinyl records or CDs. The store’s size means there’s usually a steady rotation of new donations, so it’s worth popping in regularly to see what’s just come in. Goodwill Stores Scottsdale captures that classic thrift store vibe, making it a solid stop for anyone who enjoys the hunt and appreciates the value of secondhand shopping.

These people aren't really about the customer. I walked in at 5 minutes to 9 and one of them said to me, "we're closed". I said you're open until 9 are you not? And then reminded her that it's not yet 9. I then heard her say "well, we don't have to help you as I was walking away. If she doesn't want to help me, fine. I found the one thing I went there for and simply walked out with it. As I left, she still had three customers in her check out lane. I guess she didn't wanna help anyone. Maybe corporate should remind her that her job title is customer service representative...
Quick donations. Never a wait.. we donate here a lot. We had a box of glasswares to donate they could see it was full of glass and they just dropped it in the bin and everything broke... we should have dumpstered it if we knew that’s how it was going to handled.
Showed 10 minutes before closed to drop off and say they were closed. Shows closing at 6pm. Make up your mind if you close at 6 or before. I will start donating to a different cause.
Don't use Goodwill. This a business! The intake crews at these stores/drop off centers are taught to set aside the better donations which then go to their online site to make more money for THEM. Go ahead, google it. Instead go to St Paul or the one I like is the Arizona Humane Society Thrift shop off Greenway on Cave Creek. The money goes to the animals. There are other ones they have or similar rescues, just look them up.
Showed up today at 5:45 pm to make a drop off and the store was closed. Despite Google saying they were open until 9 pm, the sign on their door said they close at 6 pm.
