This Goodwill usually has a broader & better selection of really nice items than other locations...And, it's one of the cleanest. Only drawback; yes, they may pull color of t/week tags even though that color just went on sale.
Today, I visited Goodwill (Hayden and Raintree) in hopes of finding a soap dispenser for our kitchen. Surprisingly, I found 2 cute blouses, a shirt for my partner, a glass cutting board, and a tissue paper dispenser. I spent $36.44. And my budget had been $50.00! On the other hand, the customer service could’ve used improvement. A woman who stated that she was a new hire left a hefty box in the middle of an aisle that resulted in a glass bowl dropping from a shelf. Hence, the hefty box made it difficult to walk through the aisle without bumping into the shelf. I notified her that glass had been on the floor. And she appeared quite exhausted. Overall, I highly recommend Goodwill (Hayden and Raintree).
Check your receipts as they scan items twice then tell you that you have to drive back to them for a refund. I live 45 minutes away so I guess Goodwill can keep my $8. Honestly Goodwill do better. Just because your CEO is a billionaire doesn’t mean we are. I don’t want you to have the one star but here we are.
All Goodwill fitting rooms are closed right now so I bought a pair of jeans at the Fountain Hills location and planned to try them on in the car. We spent the day hitting other Goodwill stores around Scottsdale and at some point the tag must have fallen off. I did not think returning them would be a problem since we were still shopping at other Goodwill locations. When I came into this store the employee which I believe was the manager was at the counter and she was rude, short, and not interested in helping. She immediately told me the only thing she could offer was one dollar even though the situation was caused by the fitting rooms being closed in the first place. Goodwill prices keep going up and the lack of fitting rooms makes trying clothes difficult. The way this was handled made a simple return feel frustrating and disrespectful. Now we have to drive all the way back to Fountain Hills and hope they will take them back. Very disappointing experience.
This is SO disappointing. I thought it was a rumor, but today I observed this very BAD business practice at the Scottsdale Goodwill at 8053 E Raintree Dr. Today is Thursday 10/3/2024, which is advertised as $2 Purple tag day. What items are being pulled off the shelves by Goodwill staff? Purple! Plus, Pink (tomorrow's 50% off color). Refer to the pictures. Purple and Pink tag items were being pulled in all areas of the store, not just housewares. I hate to give a 1 star rating, because the staff is hard working, nice and friendly (well, with the exception of one unhelpful and condescending manager). However, this bad business practice is too much to be ignored.
