Goodwill Thrift Store & Donation Center on I-10 East is one of the go-to Houston thrift stores if you want to dive into secondhand shopping with a purpose. This location is part of the larger Goodwill chain, which is known nationwide for supporting job training and community programs through their thrift store sales. Shopping here means your money goes toward more than just a good deal — it helps create opportunities for people in the Houston area.
Inside the store, you’ll find an extensive selection of used clothing that ranges from everyday basics to some vintage pieces worth a second glance. Goodwill stores tend to have a solid mix of items, and this one is no different. Beyond clothes, there’s furniture — often a mix of sturdy, functional pieces and occasional mid-century modern or retro styles. The housewares section usually has plenty to explore, from kitchen gadgets to lamps and decorative items that add character without the usual retail price tags.
Books, accessories, and sometimes even electronics turn up here, making it a solid stop for anyone who enjoys sifting through a variety of secondhand goods. The store layout is straightforward, which makes thrift shopping easier and more enjoyable, especially for those who might be new to Houston thrift or secondhand buying in general. It’s a well-loved spot for locals who appreciate thrift stores with a good cause behind them, coupled with a dependable rotation of items.

Restrooms clean. Employees are wonderful. I along with my Cousin usually visit every Sunday. You never know when your going to find that special item. Go and just enjoy looking. Chat with the other customers and see what you find. If you don't find anything that visit you might find it next visit. Thank you Goodwill. Have a great day. Feb. 2026.
I love this goodwill! Every time I go to find a last minute outfit or work clothes I always find something that fits me! They have a huge variety of clothes and shoes etc & they are very affordable. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful! Shoutout to Miguel he has amazing customer service. Oh and FITTING ROOMS ARE OPEN. :)
Closing the dressing rooms and not allowing you to try on your clothes before you buy them seems like a scam. Then you can only get store credit back. If they don’t have what you need then you basically donated to goodwill after 30 days
November 5, 2025 at night. Store is well organized with products as store is relatively clean. Products are in correct order and easy to find. But customer service is lacking. A thin relatively young Hispanic girl with yellow teeth could not be bothered with checking customers out for their items in line and kept going back and forth flirting with an older male employee that was suppose to be accepting donations. He kept distracting her asking if she were going to take him home as he kept sweeping the same spot on the floor and she further entertained his advances by engaging with him and going back in the donation area to speak privately with him, making it take way longer than it should have to checkout. I did eventually checkout and prices were great, but I most likely will not return again. I came to find great deals not watch a telenovela with a forty year old man preying on a twenty year old girl working a minimum wage job. There are better more professional places to shop at without creeps.
My dad comes into this store regularly. He loves all thrift/pawn stores and stores like this. He’s 66 years old and he usually dresses like it. He’s an older black gentlemen and he was discriminated against today at this store for absolutely no reason. He hasn’t stolen anything from this store ever, honestly he might be keeping them open with how much he goes here but today he was trespassed based on how he looks and told he can’t come back to somewhere he loves to go. They treated my dad like a criminal today and he wasn’t even doing none besides looking for stuff he normally does; stuff my kids, him or me. He has come to this location and several locations in many occasions and this has never happened. Stereotyped and discriminated against at Goodwill? And not given a reason or chance to clear things up? Just put out?
