Salvation Army Casa Grande: A Go-To Thrift Store for Secondhand Finds

If you’re into thrift shopping in Casa Grande, the Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center is a solid spot to check out. This location is part of the well-known Salvation Army chain, which is recognized not just for its thrift stores but for supporting community programs through the funds raised. That means when you shop here, you’re also helping out local social services.

The store offers an eclectic mix of items, making it a great stop if you enjoy hunting for vintage or just well-kept used clothing. You’ll find everything from casual tees and denim to more unique vintage pieces that pop up on the racks. It’s not just clothes, though. The furniture section often has sturdy used chairs, tables, and occasional décor pieces that can add character to any home. Plus, there’s usually a good selection of housewares—kitchen gadgets, dishes, and home essentials that come in handy without breaking the bank. For those who like to read, there’s often a shelf or two filled with books spanning various genres.

The vibe inside the Salvation Army Casa Grande store feels friendly and practical. It’s the kind of place where you can spend time digging through racks for affordable finds without feeling rushed. The layout is straightforward, which makes thrift shopping here easy and enjoyable, especially if you’re used to navigating larger, more overwhelming thrift stores. I love it here!! I buy all of my clothes here for great deals, most time there's deals for 50% off. Clothes are organized by color NOT size.

First time at one of these today and the experience was positive. I was kinda surprised at how little was in the store besides clothes. Honestly reminded me of a Ross. We ended up seeing a donated clearly handmade desk that weirdly was paired with a coat rack that we really wanted. We told the cashier we would pay full price but we only wanted the rack and she dropped the price 25% for us and let us just take the rack. Very comparable to Goodwill, but a more positive atmosphere.

Normally I never have a problem here and love to shop here but today I had the worst experience with an employee, Lucy! First I asked her to ring my clothes up without wrinkling them and she disregarded that request blaming it on a new POS system (or maybe she didn’t understand me because she barely speaks English). Next she wouldn’t take my screenshot of this month’s 25% off coupon that’s worked a hundred times before, it’s a pain to search through the email every time to find it so I screenshot it and never had an issue. She literally made me go into my email and find the email while holding the line up just to show her and she still didn’t give it to me the 25% off my item. Blaming it on the new POS system again. Honestly I just told her ring my stuff up and let me leave. I’ve never been treated like this at ANY Salvation Army and from now on I will not go to her register! Pissed me off enough to want to write this review!! The lady she rang up before me was also being really rude to her and saying she didn’t have time for this and I thought she was out of line until I actually dealt with Lucy myself.Whole store needs retraining.
