Great employees I'm a regular at this fort dodge location. It's always a good time when I go in about 2-4 times a day when I can. The prices are always great and fair. The manager is a wonderful person with a warm and welcome personality. Love to shop here. It's also fun to look around and see what new items are out for the day. All of the employees are amazing and truly wonderful. Thank you guys for your hard work and dedication. Great selection of everything. If you see something you want you better buy it it won't be there when you come back. I also donate here as well sometimes. I mainly go into Goodwill and just browsing and socialize with some of the employees and just look around for a couple of hours or how ever long in in the store. Sometimes it's a half hour sometimes a hour or 2. Great location right by a smoothie place and pizza place
Never forget while going out to eat with your family that there are 30 more families that can't share in that simple pleasure because money is tight, they may not have transportation, or they are working extra hours at their jobs just to put a meal on the table in their own dwelling. PLEASE DONATE ALL YOU CAN. THERE IS NO CHANCE YOUR BUTT WILL EVER BE MEETING THE BACK POCKETS ON THOSE JEANS AGAIN. DONATE BOARD GAMES, MOVIES,COLLECTIBLES,APPLIANCES. PLEASE HELP US IN BUILDING A STRONGER, MORE INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY.
I shopped there today at 534 PM. I was going to pay for my purchases when the cashier (Jennifer) rang up the amount which should of came to $26 without any discounts. This was for 9 DVDs n 2 misc. Items. Then she told that the amount owed is $40. She said the $2 DVDs just got changed to $2.50 each. Total cost for DVDS should have been $20 not $34 which she was trying to charge me. Even with the other 2 items totalling up at only $6. (Even with a sign saying with a pay increase which there wasnt) from $2 to $2.50 for DVD's the total bill should have only been $32.50. This is the second time they have tried to overcharge me for merchandise. I am not saying not to shop there but I am saying to watch the prices and how much they ring up the prices and charge you for their merchandise.
Prices are so high for USED clothes. I literally want to cry, how can people who can't afford clothes come here? I am astonished how rude and uncaring the people who work here treat customers who dont have much. it's a GOODWILL . That's where you go to get used items for cheap when you dont have money
This location is ridiculously over priced especially being that everything is donated to them. I can buy infant clothing brand new for as little as $3.97 a piece at walmart, here its $3.00 per item of clothing and everything I looked at was either majorly stained, faded, stretched out or all of the above. I understand its used but the quality of clothing at the other thrift stores in town is much better and a lot cheaper. Everything seemed to be over priced there, $7 for a simple fruit of the loom sweater that again you can buy brand new at Walmart for $9.99. People donate here wanting to help others, and their efforts seem pointless when they jack the prices up like that. And I never ever donate here, they have a giant container FULL of things people donate that just gets thrown away. I'm sure some of it is junk but there is no way all of that is, and I know all 2nd hand stores throw things away but theirs just seems excessive. I always donate to Second chance or other stores in town where I know majority of it won't get put in the garbage and will actually go to people in need at an affordable price. Also the other stores in town send most their profits to the local men or women's shelter , here most of the profits are pocketed by the company.
