Coming from New Zealand and knowing what the New Zealand opshop prices are like, this place is amazing for their pricing. Huge selection of quality items to choose from. The store is kept tidy which is good to see. Plenty of young and happy staff working here.
Half-price clothes! I snagged some Blue Illusion and Regatta blouses, almost-new shoes, and a summer hat. Next time, I'm bringing my trolley. Ellie, a staff member, did an amazing job handling the fitting rooms.
I went to this store at around 7 pm on a Friday, and it wasn’t too busy. Large, clean, bright space full of bargains! I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service and the selection of clothes. Some items seem to be a bit marked up just because of the brand, but overall affordable. Would recommend spending at least 2-3 hours in the store.
Years ago this place was thriving, now there's so many Anko products and cheaply made items you might as well just go directly to Kmart. Prices are high and haphazard not sure anyone knows how they come up with them. Items can be found marked higher than their original sales price still seen on items. Other savers locations are definitely better stocked and less of a rip off.
My visits to Brunswick Savers over the past 3-4 months have all been incredibly disappointing. Very bare shelves, damaged items. Their focus seems to mainly be on keeping the clothing stocked, leaving homewares and entertainment extremely underwhelming. If you need assistance with viewing an item from the cabinets, purchasing furniture, or paying cash (self serve is card only), they need to call a staff member over the loudspeaker off the floor to assist you, as there is usually only one person manning all of the checkouts. It feels like Savers is cutting staffing levels to the absolute bare minimum across all their stores, but Brunswick seems to be the worst affected, and it's a damn shame.
