Great store! Awesome service! Lots of variation every week.
Went there couple times, SO MUCH GOODIES! Best store would recommend for all y’all curious thrifters
I have fallen in love over and over again in this store. My last trip I found some amazing summer dresses, all for about $9-$11 , some being very good quality (one was Chanel) . Always worth spending a little time here looking for treasures. It would be great if there was a little wiggle room for negotiation on prices though.
Please adjust your posted operating hours to the hours which you are operating. I arrived at the donation centre at 8:45pm, and the posted hours (for the donation centre specifically) are til 9:00pm, but I was turned away because "we're closing soon". "You're gonna have to come tomorrow". I rented a uhaul van for today's cleaning. I drove 15km round trip, which will cost me that's $15 in per-km charges from uhaul. If I didn't already have the van for an extra day, it would cost me $20 for the van, too. There's a real mental toll to do this too. Yes, donating things for reuse makes purging easier emotionally, and in that way, we should be grateful for this service that lets us do so. However, Goodwill and other thrift stores seriously need to remember where their bread and butter comes from -- it's free, for the good of society, and thrift stores get to take a cut for facilitating. If there any more friction than posting it on Facebook for free, they're going to start losing out. I genuinely understand wanting to wrap up and get home, I really empathize. If it makes more sense logistically to close 15 minutes earlier than the store side, that's legitimately totally fine, just post it! I really hate to write negative reviews, but guys, this had a real, albeit small, monetary cost today.
I won’t be returning to this location after the way I was treated. I found a blood pressure monitor (clearly an older model, mfg. 2002) in the electronics aisle priced at $20. At checkout, the cashier acted suspiciously, as if I’d stolen it, and made me wait maybe 8 minutes while she called over a coworker. They took it away, insisting, “It can’t be that cheap, it’s medical equipment. Must be a mistake!” If the store didn’t want it sold at that price, why was it on the shelf with a visible tag? The dismissive attitude and lack of accountability (no apology or effort to resolve the issue) ruined the experience. Awful customer service, Never donating here again PERIOD
